What tactics?

Everybody looks at the Weller trade. Mate, the Suns and Weller asked for a trade one day left in the trade period.

The kid got a massive offer from the Suns and they promised him the world.

Hogan was a fair deal and as was Neale’s.

Lobb deal worked well for both parties.

Wilson, B Hill and Hamling went for unders but wasn’t massive over the top.

Crozier deal was for a third rounder.

The McCarthy trade was fair.

Only the Weller trade was considered difficult to trade with. Suns leaving one day to get the trade done was pretty dumb.
Yep. Well put. Freo are literally one of the most active clubs at trade period for the past three years. If they were "not a good club to trade with" how did they manage 19 trades over the last 3 years?

Here's the list:

1. GWS / Fremantle (McCarthy)
2. Hawthorn / Fremantle (Hill)
3. WB / Fremantle (Hamling)
4. Geelong / Fremantle (Kersten)
5. GCS / Fremantle (Pick Swap)
6. Fremantle / Western Bulldogs (Crozier)
7. Fremantle / Melb (Balic)
8. GWS / Fremantle (Wilson)
9. Fremantle / GCS (Weller)
10. GCS / Fremantle (Matera)
11. Richmond / Fremantle (Conca)
12. Fremantle / Port Adelaide (Pick Swap)
13. Fremantle / Brisbane (Neale)
14. Melbourne / Fremantle (Hogan)
15. GWS / Fremantle (Lobb)
16. North Melb / Fremantle (Pick Swap)
17. Essendon / Fremantle (Colyer)
18. Fremantle / Western Bulldogs (Pick Swap)
19. Western Bulldogs / Fremantle (Pick Swap)

Can anyone enlighten as to the rating and average (rating) in the FinalSiren.com stats on players. I find it a good resource in comparing players and their development each year and comparisons to other players eg Langdon Powell-Pepper etc. Bit puzzled as to how the rating works, any explanations appreciated.

Far out 70% under Colin Young. The guy that came out and criticised Fremantle.

Well, if you apply commonsense, you'll see that your team lacks speed, pressure and midfielders that actually run both ways.

If you think he can't kick and isn't worth a second, then literally your whole midfield isn't worth a second, because not one of them can kick straight
Agreed, but our midfield don’t want to leave.

MFC 2nd round for Langdon is about right with something later coming back the other way. I believe Freo don't currently hold 2019 3rd or 4th rounders though - Freo fans to confirm? But all that could change or 2020 picks could come into play.

you would think that a fourth round pick would come back, but we don’t have one.

I was thinking.

Fremantle:
Trade Langdon, 2019 second round and 2020 third round.

Demons:
Trade 2019 second round, 2020 second round and 2020 fourth round.

The issue is Henry.

If Henry goes 10-12 we lose 2 second round picks and gain a third round.

We need points for Henry this year and points for Western, Walker twins and any other NGA players next year.

Let’s say Henry goes 10 & we’ve got Melbs 2nd (currently 20) for Langdon. After NGA discounts we only have to make up 204 points. Henry won’t go until 12-16 though imo. Probably later 1st round if he misses the combine.

I'd be shocked if Henry gets bid on before #15. Wouldn't be surprised, actually expecting a bit in the 20's. Academy players slide quite often, clubs don't really see the point in bidding.
