It's fine to have am opinion re player wages etc, but I'm fairly certain it's mostly guesswork as to what players are on. So how can anyone say what a player is worth?

Surely "worth" is dictated by what people/clubs are willing to pay a player for their services.

To suggest Betts is not worth any offer we throw at him is ridiculous. We are the market.

I agree its mostly guess work and papers often put a disclaimer that its an estimate that they publish. However they are usually pretty spot on.

I have no trouble believing Crouch could end up a better player than Dangerfield. He's got a brilliant combination of abilities, as does Dangerfield.

The main difference is that Crouch should end up as a player who does what everyone else does except better, whereas Dangerfield does things nobody else can do.

Well with Krakouer now delisted from Collingwood he's gotta go onto the Crows radar now. Obviously Betts is younger and probably better but this would surely still be an option and it'd cost us a lot less.
