Collingwood supporters had success in 2010 and you guys in 2006. You guys played a granny 3 years ago and the Pies 7 years ago.

I think the real insecurity is coming from yourself. It makes you look like a bit of a nuffy posting this and making those comments with a West Coast avatar.

Eddie saying this, Adam Treloar saying it, or Tyson Goldsack saying it, is nothing more than the traditional pre-GF rev up and posturing that goes on. Would you think it's insecure for Adam Simpson to ask Freo supporters to get behind you?

The media are suppose to be impartial and present facts to inform the public.

Here you have a very influential media person acknowledging the unfair advantage playing the grand final at the g is to non Victorian team and using it for his own personal gain.

It would be a bizarre request and reek of desperation. Although there are a surprising number of Eagles and Dockers fans who don't hate the other (moreso on our side, since we don't suffer from the jealousy of a younger sibling who hasn't enjoyed success ). No doubt there are also Vics who don't hate Collingwood too and it seems the Pies are banking on that.

But yes, feeding the old 'Vics vs the rest' narrative certainly is telling.
