It looks like Eddie's decided this show won't go under, even if he has to bankroll the whole thing himself.

Mieke Buchan is back in, and radio superstar Mick Molloy is the big off-season recruit. This is the third (?) change in the cast since the show's inception in 2009.

However even with Mick on board it's impossible to miss this show as anything other than Ed spreading his narrow agenda via breakfast radio.

1/2 a star.
 
I've always disliked the fact that MMM would replay content within 6-9 in the morning. They pay these big names big cash and they are unable to go through 3 hours, which is mostly covered my music, news and adds, without replaying something from earlier in the morning.
 
yeah basically they replay the content that was mainly discussed between 6-7 then Mick starts at 7 (what's the deal with that?) and repeat it out again over the next two hours

He was good on Tough Love as well.

The first season, when they actually gave a toss. In the next two Mick would just leave early or recycle topics ad nauseum, but you couldn't blame him when they cut his shown in half and took him out of the good studio.

Mick's still got it, just needs to be given the license.

reckon the hot breakfast is okay, i hadn't listened to mmm in years but thought i'd give it a try when this started. at least they have some interesting guests on and the show doesn't cover the same old crap every day like the alternative..

I don't mind the big breakfast either. Eddie talks a little too much Collingwood but that's to be expected. Other than that it's a decent show especially when it's footy season.
 
never liked big breakfast as eddie domiated everyone else on there and talked crap. Have started listening to it more since they returned from holidays and it seems better. Mick Molloy is always good for a lugh and they seem to talk more interesting stuff than previous. However, it isnt footy season, so i can see ed becoming annoying again when footy starts
