Ventured down to Clifton Park on the weekend to see a spirited Aber's team come away with the points after a strong fourth quarter fightback from Doutta's.
Is it true that the 50m penalty in the far pocket (Doutta's bench side) was given against John Barnes for foul language directed at the umpire? It sounds ludacris but it was the sealing goal at a very important time of the game.
Also, Was there anything in the incident between Donza and a Star's player in the centre of the ground. Donza looked visibly upset as he left the ground and paced up and down the sidelines like a caged lion. The reason I bring this up is that when Donza accepted an award for his performance, the Star's table at the front were noticeably s******ing and smirking. Not trying to spark anything here guys, just curious as to what happened.

Watched the AH v GV game and thought firstly Avondale were very stiff to go close & not win - especially missing key position players - But Greenvale just showed some polish on Avondale turnovers.
But the heights runners - 17,27,21,14,8 and a few others starting to look good against good sides.
As for Lucas must have a huge bonus to kick goals as very selfish having shots when they were just not there to have and yes i love watching the Ex AFL players but down the other end Johnson kicked 5 and showed he is a much better team player. Great game to watch

Speaking about that game. What about that player that took 15 marks most of them contested. Classic one handers, huge pack marks etc and had probably at least 13 shots at goal. Frankly he dominated the game. No dolly's over the top.

Nothing better then watching a young local footballer with plenty of talent, give a bath to a ex afl player who most probably is just in it for the money like the young oak park footballer gave to ty zantuck of strathmore on the weekend.
Not saying he is not a good player - I clearly stated he is "not a team player" and he would be a better player if he was a team player - Making Greenvale a very hard team to beat!
How many shots did he have when he could of set up a team mate? Like the 4 or 5 when he had to do a U turn or maybe the one where he got caught holding the ball - You see what you what you wanted to see.....The Truth hurts.
If your happy with that at Greenvale thats fine - Hence why you lost to Oak Park & will continue to struggle when you need a full team effort - too many egos that dont like opinions - Each to their own.
It was off the ball, elbowed him in face and funnily enough it turned the match back in abers favour when douttas had all the momentum...no prizes for guessing which douttas player it was.

During the Oak Park game Lucas actually got a spray from Super for trying to do the "team" thing too much, to say ego was the reason for losing to Oak Park is a little unfair to them as they're a quality side. Not to sure whether I've seen many completely unselfish blokes play full forward at any level. If it weren't Lucas would we be discussing this? Not so sure.

On another note any truth the former no. 22 from the Cattery and coach of a proud A Grade team was stood down after his efforts against the arch rivals last week and the 400m sprint race saga after the Avondale game?
