Yes it would seem that i have underestimated them for some reason i thought they hadnt picked up many and had lost a few and would struggle,did big sauce play last week???.I think Douttas have Keilor next week so id they lose 0-3 aint a good start

well if big lance has kicked 8.5 he has done very well considering the burners kicked 10. 11 all up, the scores this w/e are pretty interesting... the gulf between the top and bottem may not be as big as previously thought

Big Lance would have kicked about 7 or 8 from what I saw.

Not sure why Doutta don't play K Carey at Full forward. Some theory about his hammy. Just stick him in the square and he'll kick at least 5 every game.

I agree,i wasnt at the game but know that Douttas have a couple of tall backs now and i realise that if they arent getting the job done you need to make a move but your robbing Peter to pay paul as yeah Kade can kick numerous goals and very quickly at certain times,hey maybe i should be a coach NOT One thing i will say that John is a fantastic coach one of the best ive seen at the club so maybe it was warranted and we showed last year when they listen to what he says they either win or are very competitive so maybe players not doing the right thing,maybe just not good enough im not sure but a win on the board soon would be nice

Anyway need to learn from that loss and beat them at home in a couple of months.

D.S struggled for much of the game, but Kade played his guts out, they really missed there talls in elvy and ben power, and also they're ball movers in hollow and aiden george. Hopefully those guys will be back soon cause d.s need to be at full strength of near full strength to be competitive.

very interesting tactical game between greenvale and strathmore yesterday. strathmore against the wind had numerous passages of play chip-chip-chipping among each other in their back half and not taking on greenvale's numbers behind the ball. played into greenvale's hands every time but not sure what other options strathmore had to try and penetrate. neither side would have walked off saying they played their best - good entertainment and some really good goals. little vs lucas was a very entertaining duel even though greenvale would say that their delivery inside forward 50 was not favourable for lucas.

so what are people's thoughts on the north west FM 98.9 commentary so far this season? i've been pretty happy with how matt and i have gone so far but would like to hear some feedback. the vantage points in the caravan are nowhere near as elevated as the grandstands/scoring boxes in the GVFL where i've been calling the last 2 years.

Listened to the call on saturday and was quite impressed. A lot more professional than previously.
The hill at Greenvale would probably be the best vantage point (off the top of my head).

Seemed in pretty good nick, no where near as hard as when i was previously there.

Heard your call of Round 1 mate, well done, Matt has to spread the load a bit more, tried to call too much. Have to keep your mind on the job, you called Keilor as Keilor Park a few times early, and called they the Bulldogs when they are the Blues, little confusing but you will pick up on the local terms. Hell of a lot better than last season, peanuts showed no respect for the local comp at all, idiots. Keep up the good work

The more the players get paid, the less likely they are to try and make the AFL, which will draw better players to the league. Look at Scotty Lucas for example.
