congratulations to all the winners of the medals especially shark who is a deserved winner!!

this weeks finale is set to be a cracker. can expect some early fire works and its going to come down to who settles first as we seen in the first final. i think pascoe vale will be better for the experience of playing off in the grand final last year and will be well prepared. lakes on the other hand, first grand final in the clubs history and will be an exciting week.

match ups to look forward to
J.Bannister vs A.Crowe- had a good battle 2 weeks ago with crowe taking the chocolates early but then bannister showing all his class in the 3rd quarter almost single handedly getting pacco back in it

Buhagiar vs williams- both do a lot of work and the loss of kelly doesnt help pacco but williams has stepped up the last few weeks and risen as a player. buhagiar very good at getting first hands at it and will be a key factor

Morelli vs James- 2 blokes that just always seem to have there hands on it. would love to see them go head to head

Mannix vs Allen- big job for mannix and does a great job week in week out. buckets has found a new lease of life this year and is going to be a handful.

pascoe vale will have perri back and will also see pavitt, c.morris and A.meroli back in the line up from when they last met. taylors look to be at full strength.
going to be an absolute belter and am going to tip a draw . toss of the coin to see who wins in extra time

Good Luck to both teams tomorrow - one of the most even Grand Finals we have had in a long time. If I was running a book I would have them both at $1.90. The last 2 games the final margin was 7 and 4 points. My tip is Lakers by 1 point!!

Promises to be a fantastic Grand Final. TL seems to be a side that has come together and steeled themselves over the last two seasons and has played their best football for most of the year peaking at the end. The weeks rest will mean they will be fresh and ready to go. Everyone will acknowledge that Pacco have the team to win it but they have taken all year to get it together. It seems to me that Pacco have still got another 5% that they can bring after the 2nd Semi but can they get it together in time or will it take another year????

You have to improve with every final and I am not sure that TL have got as much improvement left as Pacco but the question is will Pacco bring it??

Watched the game and was impressed by the Lakers and there coach who coached me many years ago i have a couple of mates down there and was told that most of the guys have been there for a long time and they didnt pay all that much which is great in my opinion.

Pacco were quite poor after half time and seemed to give up,im sure they didnt but thats how it looked.I hope the Lakers do well in A Grade but unfortunately it will be very hard for them as it is for a few of us anyway celebrate and celebrate hard boys you deserve it a great win

Watch the B grade Grand final today. TL will have to pick up 12+ players to go with teams in A grade. Will find it hard as they are top heavy and lack skill level under pressure. PV, great work fellas, money well spent, looked the better of the both teams in the first quarter. To many front runners. Plenty of rockstars playing at PV. Clearly have spent up big over the last couple of years for no return. Stop paying blokes $500+ when any other club would only pay them $200 a game.

TL - well done on winning you 1st senior premiership boys. You have worked so hard this year for yourselves and for the guys that represented you over the last 20 years. You have such a short history, but today you made history. well done. enjoy it.

There has already been many posts on hear about the step up to A garde and they are all correct. need to get more $$$, MORE QUALITY PLAYERS THAT SUIT OUR NEEDS and work hard on the track. Fact is, you are there, and all these sour paco supporters can say what we want. lets do our best to stay there.

SO many things to say to talk about the pride for the jumper you guys showed. And to bite back at the abuse we copped today, last week and all year. No one thought we could win. The fact you showed playing for the jumper wins hands down any day (eg $70K vs $200K). The fact PV players even went out of their way to sign at other clubs THIS WEEK for next year!!!! (that one i love) that PV didnt stay on the ground for the awards ceremony or the Paco Pres on radio was on his high horse about why they are btter this year than last - The home grown talent of 6 players!!! try 16!!!!!! in todays team for TL!!! Let alone the 15 in the 2's!!!!!and the blokes who aint havent been at TL years play for peanuts!!!!

BUT what takes the cake for me, What sums up PV is Bannister for PV. Came in under injury cloud with Hammy Ran around, even mouthed off when they thought they were a chance, but when TL managed to get their last goal, his hammy started to play up. this may sound small to some, but sums it up for me. Could have said no - i will fight this out. But there fierless Bannister thought - NAH THIS IS TOO HARD. Im out!!!! Bye. Just like his team mates. Couldnt care less SUms it up really. Money will only only get you so far. You have to want it. TL. you bunch of battlers. You wanted it more.

I thought the game was fairly boring in the last quarter,the Lakers had it under control but one thing that myself,mates and others in the grand stand found amusing was some banter between what looked like a Pascoe Vale water boy and a guy doing the non electronic score board on the other side of the ground it looked like on several occassions that it was going to be on.

Some of you who were there may have seen it, and it was funny after the game as a few Lakers supporters ran on the ground and gave it to the waterboy,he was a very angry young man,anyway it was quite funny

What super effort from Lakers!! To those who said Lakers would be the biggest sliders in 2010 - you were wrong. To those who said Paco was the best team in the comp - you were wrong and to all those who called Lakers chokers you were wrong. The choker tag now sits in the Paco camp - 2 grand finals in a row and two pathetic performances.

Lakers understand the need to improve the list in 2011 - they understand the top 5 teams in A grade is out of reach but the aim will be to win enough games to stay up in 2012. But who cares right now - it is celebration time and the Lakers boy go as hard as anyone!!
