Westmeadows won quite comfortably in the end over a young Hadfield side. 6 of there 22 out thru injury/suspension, including captain and full forward, Roden Aldridge. They got a 4 goal to 1 lead at quarter time and didn't look bad leading for the rest of the game but got a scare late on in the 3rd quarter when Haddy started to peg the margin back. West Coburg vs Westmeadows next week. Will be a good game no doubt.

Arguable that both sides wasted the wind. Thought Hadfield looked good in the first quarter running into the wind, but Westy got a couple of late goals (was expecting to hear a bake at qtr time).

Second quarter was very good from a Westmeadows perspective, keeping Hadfield goalless and scoring two themselves.

Third quarter was the most entertaining of the game and if it wasn't for a late goal to Westy nearing three quarter time, I would've had Hadfield as favourites to win.

I definitely know that Westy had a number of blokes out and it appears from your post that Hadfield had a number of young players. Based on the game today and some additional inclusions to come, I would think that both sides will be looking to have a good crack at finals.

Big test for my boys next week playing away at West Coburg - will be good test to see where we are at.

The reserves comp will be interesting after the split next season, hypothetically some of the the top reserves sides could be in C and conversely some weak reserves sides will be in B (E.g - last year Tulla seniors were very strong, the reserves side was very weak)

Even the under 18's, if Keilor Park seniors stay in division 2 next year, their 18's could be facing a long season seeing as they are struggling at the moment, even against some of the lower teams
