Whenever a team loses you can highlight the differences between sides and say one was 'exposed'. Not going to give a full diagnosis on here, but I will say that I think KP were beaten mentally more so than physically... I think the any team any day statement is as accurate as it gets... I don't think NS are particularly quick, just ran at the right time to the right places... Every team looks slow when they don't have the ball...

yes spot on, it has been a problem at KP for a long time, can get a bit cocky and believe their own press sometimes

after a great win last week against Tulla, it seems that the team might have got a bit ahead of its self and got jumped

Might be right... Hopefully they can get back on the bike and knock off PV this week.... ;-)

Hey eagle 2 clearly your connected with KP in some way hence your posts overtime. So perhaps instead of trying to pot them - perhaps support them.
They can sometimes read there own press and have plenty of talent. But which football club doesn't. Be nice to hear a positive post for once?

Do you play or coach?

Back at ya, sorry dude no connection these days, did a bit of both, but gee that was soooooooo long ago,

Dont think I have potted anyone, generally just ask the what if or why type questions,

I even must confess didnt see the game and have been relying on the word of my brother, so maybe I should be there before throwing these things up,

But hey even the great man Bomber 44 has agreed with the suggestion I put forward so I might not be too far of the mark ;)

Good luck, I expect they will get close this week, if koula and gumby are back, more strength to them.

So the saints aren't quick they just read the play well and move the ball around well...???
Sounds pretty quick to me. Quick isn't just about pure pace.

Gee some people are up and about aren't they!! It's early days in a long season!! NS were too good on Saturday, clearly. But history will show that a lot of humble pie is eaten by some on this site that start firing shots a little early... Ask Tulla if they think KP are too top heavy and rely on their FF too much (he didn't play against them)...

Nothing wrong with a little bit of confidence and it's not as though people are saying they will win the flag, merely that the edfl's original c grade policy was a stinker. The saints have knocked off westy and kp (who knocked off Tullamarine). They were unlucky against ek at ek, not sure how these aren't highly rated teams. Having said that, keep knocking them, the underdog role seems to suit....and remember humble pie can be eaten by both the spruikers and the knockers.

How about you read the post I was responding to and you'll find that's exactly what I was saying!!! I'll attach the relevant section for you...

but i am sure you agree, the losses to EK and NS did expose some problems with leg speed and the ability to run with sides,

Geez, didn't mean to spark this debate, just pointing out that EK and NS have shown the EDFL had their C grade policy wrong.

Your absolutely right. Club's fortunes change so much from year to year it couldn't be split based on 3 seasons ago. Imagine if AFL did that, most of the top 8 would be gone... At least they've got it right in the end...

It's gonna be a tough race for the finals, which is what everyone wants isn't it?? Looking forward to the rest of the season!!

It's great. I can't wait to see how it all pans out.

I did say good on them for getting it right in the end. It's not easy admitting a mistake.

This is what this site is all about, local footy and opinions?
A C grade wouldn't help, if something isn't broken then why fix it.
Some teams bottom out longer than others thats just the way it goes.
Keep it simple l say.

Chance for Northern Saints or East Keilor to go up to A Grade in 2012

would be a disaster.....neither team has the depth that taylors lakes have or glenroy had....neither club has the money to be competitive in A grade

east keilor vs moonee valley 150 pts

nthn saints vs hillside 35points

airport west vs hadfield 50 points

glenroy vs roxburgh park 160 points

west coburg vs jacana 200 points

tullamarine vs westmeadows 40 points

pascoe vale vs keilor park 45 points

Were Hillside asked to change their name or did they just decide to align to Hillside?

Was a decision to better reflect what area they are in and to encourage a better relationship with their local council..... Read it on their website

Marby and Oak Park have done allright since coming up from A Grade

Can this happen at end of the year, the winner of B Grade reject going up to A Grade and the all powerful Sunbury come in to A Grade from the Ballarat League for 2012 and Taylors Lakes drop down?

Normally I would say no chance but with Div 3 coming in the league is going through a shake up anyway so it could happen.

That's why I asked about Hillside, I know the EDFL want a Sydnham team so I thought it might have been their idea to change.

If they are going to make big calls, may as well do it all at once.

Northern saints juggernaut rolls on!!!
Settle Down

They have beaten,
Roxburgh Park
Westmeadows
Hadfield
Moonee Valley
Keilor Park
Hillside

and lost to East Keilor

Of the 6 sides Northern Saints have beaten I don't think any of them were ever going to be world beaters?

Don't know if I'd be calling it a juggernaut yet... More like a soft draw.

I guess they can only play who they have put in front of them and will be interesting to see how Northern Saints fair against the other main teams.

Pascoe Vale
West Coburg
Tullamarine
Glenroy
Airport West
