So is Swanny playing for free or is he getting paid??Couldn’t agree more! Great to see him give back to his local club and well done on all the work behind the scenes yesterday to the Westy committee etc. hopefully it’s a huge financial success both days.
In regards to the footy, think the Westy V Oak Park game with be a VERY close game on Anzac Day and def worth a look.

Craigieburn flying under the radar? Only two rounds in but not supported first two weeks by tipsters and got the job done both times.
Very much so. Didn't think EK would be 0-2 either though.
Possibly, but there injuries are really starting to mount to key players. Lost a few soldiers in round 1 and Limbach and Glen Robertson were both done before half time on Saturday. Robbo looked like a shoulder. Huge outs. Made there win even more impressive i thought. EK were quite good they will be ok. Philpot dominated the ruck with eagles missing there ruckman on the weekend must be injured also.Craigieburn flying under the radar? Stevie Vocale gotta nearly be in that top 6 for Tulla. Very good mid from what I seen during the practice matches!

Agree with you Here Biss, great win by the Eagles on Saturday, fiercely contested. Cougars almost stole it in the last with 12 scoring shots.
Ruberto, went down in the first quarter, Philpot sent off in the 3rd cost EK big time.
Undisciplined acts have proved costly, along with being riddled with injury and availability. Gleeson did his hamstring and was clearly lame, won’t play next week.
Dion rubbed out for 2 weeks in R1 will also miss the clash with APW
Martin and the Grampsas missing on the weekend. Langwell absent with a knee complaint. The cougars are still without anywhere near a full strength lineup. However if they lose this week pressure will be well and truly on 0-3 is less than ideal.
Westy vs Tulla was a great get for the league but the game itself was a fizzer.
Besides all the hype about Swanny playing, Westy were beaten convincingly across the entire ground all day.
Swan had no influence when he started up fwd although none of the other Westmeadow fwds looked dangerous either (except for possibly Evans at times) and were well beaten by Tullas back 6. Tulla midfield looked a lot cleaner and quicker and seemed to win a lot more of 1 on 1 contests and the only negative for the Tulla mids/fwds were they missed way too many easy chances in front of goal.
You could clearly see that Swan was a class above the rest when he did get his hands on the ball but his kicking was average.
Westy vs Oak Park should be a better game to watch tomorrow. I'm tipping Westy by 24 points.
Hey Dippa, undisciplined acts. Is this result due to having a playing coach? I’m not alluding to Ash at all, but more of the leadership style a playing coach has, in that he relies on his off field coaches to see these things and act rather than he do it from the field of play. Very difficult being a player coach these days unless your 2IC is a strong leader, and if he is they would most likely want to coach on there own..
I thinking the signing of Ash was a great move and his a smart operator just not ideal having playing coaches these days. Can’t think of to many of the top of my head coaching premier or div1 other than:
Castello at Marby - However he has Clinnick who is a successful coach on his own.
Chapman at GV - Well Chappy doesn’t play a lot of games plus he has Paxman who has also coached Premier league and is more a senior assistant these days. Not sure he harbours ambition to become a senior coach any more. So that’s a great fit and maybe a reason Chappy chose GV to coach..
Who was the last playing coach to win a premiership at either premier or div 1 level??
Div2 you might get away with it as it’s slower tempo plus good credentialed coaches not lining up to coach Div2 footy so you have less options..
Thoughts..
Premier Division
The great man Paul Harrison when playing coach at Douttas in 1999
Brodie Holland at Marbi 2009 and 2010

The back 6 from Tulla were amazing.. Totally outplayed whoever went down there from westyWesty vs Tulla was a great get for the league but the game itself was a fizzer.
