I suppose we let them jump over everyone as well and bring them in at whatever level they want.
Makes sense 3 spots available......Rupertswood, Diggers Rest, Caroline Springs...10, 10, 10

The only sticking spots would be that they would all have to start in Div2 and work their way up.

Interesting debate this one and i must say i’m surprised people are not more open to stronger clubs coming to the EDFL and going straight into div 1. Say for example Caroline Springs (div 1 wrfl) did enter div 2 next year, dominate undefeated win flag. Diggers rest come in year after, dominate undefeated win flag, Rupo the next year and so on. How do you think the other regular div 2 sides feel about playing for second for the next few years while the EDFL try to expand as they should be. Its a good thing the EDFL is trying to lure over some strong clubs from other leagues i think some serious thought needs to be taken into what division they enter as we cant keep jeopardising the division 2 comp that is not right or fair for those other clubs. Not Sunbury’s fault at all but take them out of div 2 this year and it’s probably the closest division of all 3. Thoughts?

Strong clubs from other leagues , that’s laughable , Spotty maybe but Caro and Rupo , sorry.
Craigeburn to Caro , 45 minutes drive , does anyone want to drive 45 minutes to watch local footy.
And who says that Sunbury Kangaroos will win it this year , I’m sure theirs 3 other clubs that will have other ideas come finals time.
Ok chops. But at the moment they are 11-0 with a % of nearly 300. And i would say that Diggers, Rupo, Caro and spotty are all stronger than SK. Im sure you get the argument i am putting forward. Those sides destroy div 2 if they are put there. Im just not sure that is a good thing for the other division 2 clubs thats all

I think it is an absolute no brainer if any of these sides come to EDFL, it is straight to Division 1. I see your argument Bissa.

Costello in the outs list for Westmeadows , hearing he done a hamstring last week and is a really bad one , can anyone confirm or deny this ?
If so does this hurt westy chance for making it to the finals and also does it cost him the comp medal ?

Fitaax from WC hasn’t changed a bit. Him and young Matson from Tulla the only ones in the goal square 40m off the play and the next second Matson is face down on the ground not moving. I wonder how that happened??
I guess he should be commended for not kicking in the head while he was down.
Strangely he was sent off about 10 mins after the incident, just as the 2nd qtr was about to start. Can only assume the goal umpire who was only metres away alerted the field umpires at qtr time.

Yeah I saw it too Manof. Clear as day 50m off the ball and Fitaax king hit Matsen to the head which left him face down on the ground. An absolute weak act. Matsen is only 19 years old and a ball player.
The disappointing thing for me was the race card was mentioned by the West Coburg coaching staff (I won’t name names) which really was disgusting.
The incident really hampered what should have been the focus- that is West Coburg playing better football than Tullamarine and deserved winners on the day.
I can’t wait for the EDFL to show their true colours and do sweet FA

It means see ya later oak park , or does it bring Taylor’s closer, If Roxy can beat Taylor’s next week Taylor will go down so next week is huge for Taylor’s
Relegation done and dusted. Oak Park Div 2 in 2020.
This really sickens me to think this suff still happens today. Of course they have used the race card WC they always do!! Make a stand EDFL. A 19 year old kid can not be king hit behind play!

Fitaax an absolute dog and deserves to be rubbed out for life after that disgraceful king hit off the ball all because a 19 year old kid was having the better of him this bloke does not deserve to play footy and the sooner he is gone for good the better and for him to play the race card just says what sort of a shit bloke he really is

And as for the WC coach to actually take no responsibility for his players actions and say he didn’t see it says a lot about this club as well just poor form all round from WC

His coach was the dirtiest player going round. Probably told him to whack him.
Same thing happened Round 1. Roxy player elbowed in the head a mile behind play, ended up with a broken jaw and wears a helmet permanently as a result. coach said he'd deal with he'd but the player was named the next week. Maybe had something to do with the player being the presidents son ...
Meanwhile what a massive win for the Rox today. Really disappointing last week before bounced back brilliantly. Shows how well roxy have planned and set up for a decent crack at div1
The last 2 premiers on Div2 went up and came straight back down with zero wins and one win respectively. After 13 rounds we have 3 wins and could look to add a 4th before the season is done. Thanks to all the doubters who gave us inspiration . Planned perfectly and with limited funds have competed well. Hopefully we'll start getting some respect from other sides and certain people in this forum. Wonder if old mate Turbo came down to Roxy with his hillside mates and watched that today

Facts matter. Fitaax did not king hit the Tulla player. After being repeatedly bumped from behind he threw his elbow from in front and connected with the Tulla player. He was reported by the goal umpire, and given a yellow card. He went on to be one of the better players for West Coburg, and as always will poll highly in the comp medal because he is an outstanding ball player.
The previous incident occurred 7 years ago and is not part of the story. Both players involved have apologised to each other and have moved on. Fitaax served his suspension and has not been reported again since (or before).
The Tulla supporters near the social club (was not close enough to hear the Tulla bench) also issued a series of slurs that poorly reflect on the club and their attempts to create a more inclusive culture. Would find it hard to be a non-Anglo person and remain a supporter of that club after what I heard.
