I agree with you the their short kicking is very poor they don’t play for each other, they handball to much .very slow going forward.playing players out of position.the coach needs to change his game plan to suit the players his got .I think their list is not that bad their young players would benefit from playing senior this year only get better and they need a chf who can kick goals they can’t rely on saad and nabbout,two really good midfielders who can run and kick the ball well maybe another ruckman and a full back apart from that I think they should be fine

Agreed i have stated a number of times they are going no where quick smart and chose mid season to reappoint the coach, why not wait until season end then challenge on what change is required

Things need to change and change in a huge way

Method and personal are not going to get them to win a final, miles of the big boys

Correct, those kids they played are going places with the right ppl around them as I said 5 key players and off season work on kicking and a bit more focus on 1st option things and they will take off.

Every club missed out in 2020 and part of 2021, Westy no different

2109- 10 wins, 2021 7 wins and 2022 11 wins the current list and current method is going no where near winning a division 1 grand final

Westy may be happy to keep landing on or around 4th each year.

The step needed to win div 1 and the the step to be competitive in premier is not going to happen unless something changes and changes significantly.

sort of agree about the current list it does need some changes ,but method is still developing they need to exploit Yass and Evans speed on the wing more I like how they are always looking to switch ( I know they did not do this on the weekend) but they have done it against most opponents. I was having beer with the west Preston supporter a few weeks after their practice game and he was saying west P had no answer for west M speed and willingness to switch the ball so something is going right. We are not the afl and get every player to every train session
so it takes a lot longer for sides to learn structures and and play consistant team footy .Also just buying players is no guarantee off success just look at Tulla

I agree Westy are just one of those teams, will always be around the mark but never anything special, ranked 3-6, a bit like a mini tulla, who will always be ranked 2-4 - Never going anywhere

Hey guys what happens if a club makes the GF in the reserves but the senior team doesn't make the GF. Is there a certain amount of games a player needs to play in the reserves to be eligible to play finals?

I think many years ago you needed to play four games in the H & A rounds to be eligible. Anyone know how it works these days?

totally agree it tough enough as it is with out getting the bejeezus beaten out of them on social media .We need people to put their hand up to coach at all levels

Correct, even if you have played 7 reserves and 7 seniors you do not qualify it has to be more of the lower grade

you are right but that rule does not apply to 18-5s. can play all season in seniors but if they(seniors) dont make finals a boy can still play 18-5s if they do make finals. It doesnt matter whether that boy has played with 18-5s during year.
