Have zero affiliations or care about the result really, but WC got absolutely smashed by the umpires in the first half. Really critical momentum shifters too.
You must of been at the wrong ground.
Todd Elton was being held all day.
DP we’re doing all the chasing and tackling that’s why they got free kicks.

Kept saying Deer Park just playing games during the H&A season. Never going to not win the premiership in B grade.

I thought this was the loss West Coburg had to have, but the margin surprised me.

There were a few 50/50 calls that were debatable, but overall I thought the umpiring was of a very high standard, and if anything West Coburg's discipline let them down a fair few times more than anything else. Delivery into their forward line was poor too.

I was surprised Wehlrauch wasn't named in the best for WC as I thought he tried his guts out all day.

As for DP, well what do you say? We saw it last week and again today. They're a high-quality side. Interesting talking to a few Pasco Vale supporters who thought Deer Park wouldn't trouble the top 4 sides in Premier, but more than hold their own against the bottom 4 especially.

Surely West Coburg couldn't have a turnaround of 14 goals in 2 weeks?

I know Grand Finals throw up some strange results. But that would have to be an almighty win if they did.

I think the occasion got to WC today, old habits (undisciplined) were back and the game got away from them very quickly.

Will have to improve that area if they want another crack at DP.

From past experience (twice) dominating in the qualifying final can allow the team who have been soundly beaten to learn from their mistakes and change strategy and matchups come GF day to completely turn the result around.

Having said that everything would need to go right for WC if they were to play DP again.

Deer Park far too good and played disciplined controlled football in perfect conditions on a normal football ground. WC number 11 and number 2 are absolute jets and both played blinders.WC ruckman 21 dominated play allday and is a lump of a man who just ran and ran and ran. In a tight competition anything can happen.
* sausage in bread @ $5.00 is stupidity and a fine should be imposed for such poor behavior. For the organizers learn from ALDI. You need a loss leader and you will always make more $ selling a sausage for $3.50 2 x, rather a sausage @ $5.00 once.

Ya kidding.....second to the ball all day. Got smashed & shown up on the big stage. Not playing on a soccer ground now!

The problem wasn't the soccer ground as they won 9 games on other teams grounds. cobra land is pretty spot on. There's no shame in losing to what is essentially an A-grade side playing B-grade. It's what WC does from here now that counts. For mine, still a clear 2nd best in the comp, now it's time to prove it and recover from what must be a disappointing day for them.

DP different beast in finals. Was questioned when I said it in here a few weeks ago.

Best for the division if they go up anyway. Hopefully more teams will have a bit of a crack next year as the comp should even out a little.

Probably trying to pocket some cash before Coburg fold.
