Playing a one off up near Albury but who knows where the mercenary will end up

Cam was mates with the coach they’ve obviously offered up good coin and haven’t stuck to their word. He is every bit worth the coin he gets....They’ve made some poor decisions imo thinking he would be the saviour. They must have been paying overs for the other recruits.
The committee have definitely screwed up somewhere down the line. Little things for example like not clearing young to cburn at the start saying he owed money when he didn’t play half the year and was promised all costs covered when signing. This has been a snowball effect. Lifelong jags blokes leaving because they weren’t happy with the direction the club was headed this year.... there’s definitely more to the story, that to be honest we aren’t privy too.
As a massive footy fan I hope they get back on the park!

How many times has we bounced between this clubs?

Signed with jacana for 2017 then wanted out before the season started to go to hurstbridge, jacana held firm and made him see out the season. Finally got to Hurstbridge for 2018, lasted about 5 games then played out rest of the year with barooga. Then returned to Jacana for 2019.

Think he left hurstbridge as the coach left..

Jmac, I understand where you are coming from. However since the year dot clubs offer players money if it goes pear shape the players get the blame. Chasing short term dreams for long term pain. From what I understand Jacana will field one team per week with Paul Houston as coach.

Orbit, where did you hear that Paul Houston is coaching Jacana??

surely you cant blame cloke ! he puts everything into the club he goes too !Jacana!s last year has been the reason for its fall ask the previous coaching staff for demise of this club !

It can turn around BUT the problem is priority...

1. Be relevant to a community
2. Build better people

Focus on that - Success shouldn’t always be measured by scoreboards... I feel for the people that begin with nothing but the best of intentions and now have the weight of a clubs history hanging around their necks... It’s such a shame regardless of ability or blame.

From what I hear too many players have left due to club having no money and committee lied to them hadn’t chased 1 sponsor. Committee supposedly didn’t know they were in financial troubles which is hard to understand if your not bringing in money and cancelling functions all the time. Surely can’t blame players and coaches for being a bit pissed off for the club/committee not be truthful.

So I guess Northern get the points. I see they had to postpone an event today as a result. This isnt great for other clubs and if Jacana couldn’t last minute field a side today based on the reasons menstioned above, how can they possibly reliably field sides for rest of the year?

Grapevine....loyal Jacana people working behind the scenes. Maybe back to the future is an option....RDFL

Why go back to RDFL? Still have the same problems. I think Spsorts Support hit it on the head. Build from ground up, build it as a community club get people involved and do it over the longer term, rather than being up and down, then out.

Moving to RDFL would only be a band aid on a festering sore you need to get the off field right first .By getting the right people with some business accruement to jump on board .sports sig has done this at Lalor and they are tracking along quite nicely with building playing numbers and good people who want to dig in and get things done the right way

That’s exactly right Ben and Lalor are working the right way for the rebuild and not leaving any stone unturned, because they love the club and cannot let it die and the Jacana president probably should give Ben a call and ask how he’s done it.

I’m always available to offer advice - Not suggesting I have all the answers but sometimes volunteers all need to pull together and find solutions from outside their own 4 walls
