Tulla are amazing - the twos and the eighteens didn't score today but the seniors are on top of the ladder. How does the final 4 work?

Great win by the Saints, belter of a game

1 v 2 winner though to GF, 3 v 4 loser out, winner plays loser of 1 v 2 for place in GF. I think.

Whoever goes up has a lot of work to do below their 1s, Tulla especially.

Not only do Tulla have 10 senior guys out but 6 of them are absolute guns. B&F winners, comp winner, A grade Premiership players and regular team of the year players. Been an enormous effort to have only lost 1 game

Yep, absolutely. Even the game they lost could've been won.

I heard around 10 or so best 22 are injured for Tulla right now, not sure on the exact figure but they have been stretched for depth!

Top effort from Tulla to be where they are this season with only the one loss. Makes you wonder if they had all their guns playing nobody would come close.:thumbsu:

Are any of these players due to return this season?

Unfortunately not, a few have season ending injuries
Still a fair effort from Tulla to be ontop. Still a very exciting race in division 1, the flag could go to any of Tulla, NS, the Roys or Taylors Lakes! Who knows who will win the GF on the day, going to be an exciting finish :thumbsu:

West meadows in all sorts now. Both them and crazyburn have to play the top 4 in the last 6 games so realistically both clubs need to target the remaining 2 winnable games. Westy play WC in rd 14 and Haddy rd 15. They must win one of those. Crazy play the same two sides in rd 17 & 18 so both sides have almost identical draws. Top 2 still up for grabs but Tulla and NS are favs at the moment. Saints play Lakes this week and can sew up one of the spots but if Lakes can win then them and the Roys are both back in the hunt.

come on guys we need some discussion. Top 2 spots still up for grabs, 3 sides can still get relegated should be lots to talk about. This weeks tips
Tulla easily over westy 10+
Crazyburn to stick with Roys for a half and then the Roys to go bang. Roys by 10+
WC in a close one against Haddy. should be a good game
Match of the round Nth saints to end Lakes double chance hopes by 3 goals

Saints up by 69 with a quarter to go - huge performance. Tulla and Northern will take some catching for the top two

That is a bit of a statement to the rest of the contenders. Pretty solid considering the game against Glenroy last week

West Coburg over Hadfield with WC coming home strong after Haddy being up by a goal at 3/4 time
3/4 time- WC 7.12.54 - HF 9.6.60
Full Time- WC 13.16.94 - HF 9.12.66

a HUGE congratulations to hadfield coach robert "rubber" Don who has done so well in his development and foward thinking of playing under 16 player hisham kerbatieh, first year under 18s michael tang, steve vocale , redda and jessie inzillo..

all players were put through training and had to pass stringent tests to progress to senior level.

all players have been more than handy..

whilst all clubs chase name players..don persists with lookingafter the local kids

well done Don..coach with a plan , a vision and an eye for talent..a coach the calder cannons could use..

Surely you're taking the piss. He's been Senior coach at Hadfield for nearly 10 years (job given by default). During his tenure he has had only 1 finals appearance (lost by 10 goals) and had in excess of 44 players leave.

Blind Freddy would have given H Kerbatieh a game, the most dominant junior in the EDFL. I know as a fact H Kerbatieh won't be there next year. Another player to leave hadfield FC.

Under 18's footballers being promoted to senior footy has been around for 100 years, 'Rubber' as he is affectionately known is hardly a pioneer.

If we can compare Hadfield FC to Northern Saints FC, as you've stated 'Rubber' has played 5 unders 18's players, Hadfield currently sit 3rd last.

On the other hand Northern Saints FC have blooded 6 under 18's players and currently sit 2nd. 4 of those 6 played on the weekend in their massive win against Taylors lakes away. Clearly they too are contributing to the team. Fair to say, massive future at Northern Saints FC, a genuinely massive chance for the flag.

Thanks to Robbie Don, Hadfield are closer to relegation then promotion.

In fairness to this part, he'll most likely be leaving Haddy to play TAC. That's probably going to happen to a few other young kids too playing at other clubs. Not really the clubs fault.

Also, it's great to see Northern playing youngsters as well. Players looking for a shot at senior footy would do well to look at both those clubs in 2014.

The club has taken the difficult but right road to NOT pay players and have held their own. By refusing to bow to a group of people who will always put their own agenda before the club and waving them good bye last year the HFC earnt the respect of the whole competition(Premier clubs included). Robbie and his family are icons of the HFC. You are entitled to your opinion but on this one you are way off the mark

Incredibly harsh... Hadfield were a basket case 10 years ago...

:footy: Another cracking game this round

Tullamarine V Glenroy

Will the Tulla boys maintain their form or will Glenroy give the Demons a shock and beat them at home.
Think I might pop down to Leo Dineen and have a look at this one..Tullamarine play the in form Northern Saints the week after which will be another belter....

My tip- Very close game but I think the Glenroy boys might surprise Tulla and win by less than a goal

Good Luck to both :thumbsu:

Round 14 results

Tullamarine 5.6.36 DB Glenroy 12.6.78

Northern 18.22.130 D Craigieburn 5.7.37

West Coburg D Westmeadows by 10 goals

Taylors Lakes D Hadfield by 4 goals

Glenroys 7 goal win over Tullamarine was surprising. Solid win in these conditions I thought it would have been much closer anyway well done to the 46ers they seem to be hitting their form at the right time of the year, looking very dangerous coming into the finals.

That would leave Northern Saints sitting on top of the ladder atm, well done to all the boys down there :thumbsu:

Northern V Tullamarine next week will be interesting..

Indeed. A win next week and they go a game and a half clear with 3 winable games left.

Round 15 tips. Saints V Dees I can feel another shootout coming up. Whoever wins probably secures the double chance and probably top spot. Tulla just
Roys V Burgers Burgers beat the Roys last time but surely that wont happen a again Roys by 35.
Crazyburn V Lakes time for Lakes to get back in some form 10 goals I say
Westy v Haddy Last chance Saloon for the Tigers must win or it is bye bye. I think they will at home Westy by 5 points. Good luck to all teams.
