Would think a fairly good standard of Div 1 footy coming?

Douttas starting to become clear favs in my opinion, especially if kytes clearance is sorted not sure what will happen there?? Seems westy an eagles to challenge but who no's, predictions at this time of year are always shown up by a couple of bolters an would guess that will happen again. Not sure who they are just yet though. Will be some nervous backman this year with the likes of kyte, carey (if fit), cam cloke, jas cloke, page, trewin, aldridge etc etc...

EDSFC also secured 2 ruckmen and a couple of other handy on-ballers. Not sure names but have been advised they have signed them. I still have Craigieburn slight favs due to Cloke brothers and other quality signings.

Have heard off a very reliable source that the Roys are in crisis mode. Home grown young stars Kite and Ronaldson are out,as well as Cronin,Coombes,Marks,Salt,Anderson these only names i can remember but there was also another 4 or 5 from last year senior side that want out or have left for one reason or the other, can anyone from sewell reserve shed some light on whats happening down there, without any big signings yet and also losing your whole fwd line and no.1 ruck how will they kick a score, could the mighty roys be fighting relegation with in my opinion tulla and EK from the outside not looking good.

Glenroy might slide a bit but would hardly call it a crisis

As a club they don't stay down for very long

What would consider a crisis then? at club that doesn't have a massive budget, losing home growns, slid last yr and wasn't competive really with top 3 and in this format of competition you only need to have 1 bad yr and your back in c grade

Crisis would be... Struggling to field a side with the club close to folding something similar to what jacana have been through or keilor park recently

Well a club as proud as glenroy to be mentioned in relegation talk im sure everyone down at sewell reserve would consider it a mini crisis, clearly something wrong down there

If my sources are correct the ruckman for eds is big Eddie Prato former afl/vfl listed basketballer 202 cm with bulldogs an Williamstown played a season in the ovens an Murray with wodonga after being delisted very handy pick up for div one . Makes that mid field even better with a good ruckman . Going to be a ripper of a completion this year

C'mon boys hold on here. Prato did sign at Avondale last year but left during pre season for reasons I don't wish to mention on this forum.
Yes his a big unit but a basketballer so really only good for centre bounce body contest. I know he was AFL listed but this was a big error by the doggies. Not even good at Willy as I watch them every week.
Hopefully good at Douttas but really this is his level. Don't pin your hopes on him or pay him big $$ as it will be another bad decision by Douttas. Who is their recruiting person as I wouldn't be happy giving him my money each year..

Last seen playing for a district club just out of Ballarat.. not as "sexy" as mentioning that he was AFL listed at one stage.
He'll be a difficult match up for div 1 ruckmen though.

So where did Prato play in 2014 after leaving Avondale without a ruckman pre season. Wodonga or near Ballarat..

Does anyone know if the Westmeadows ruckman Allouch is staying. I had heard that Essendon invited him for some testing and offered him a spot on their VFL list

Prato played for Buninyong in the Central Highlands Football League which is basically a district league for last part of 2013. By my count that equates to walking out on Avondale Heights after a dispute with the coach (Patty Rose, who was a friend) in 2012. Playing the first part of the season in 2013 for Wodonga Raiders before leavng for reasons unknown, to return to Bunnyong (played predominantly as a forward) before walking out on them in dispute to parts unknown at he end of 2013... He is an unusual cat!

Allouch would still play majority of the year at Westy-doubtful he'll get a game at Essendon especially with Tagliabue rucking

Bit of risk surely.. Might be high maintenance who will require a cuddle every now and then and looking after..

He better play in the ruck as Kade won't want him getting in the road. Then again use Prato as the decoy to prop in the square and Kade leads out...
Very top heavy side yeah..

FYI: he won't play in premier div against Patty.. Might be interesting seeing him drop back in the hole with Patty around.. Patty loves to give some lip..

I think will get a better indication of where teams are at once clearences start being put through lots of talk getting around tho hard to call an early favourite . Can't wait for the cragieburn v eds clash hope it lives up to the hype . Cragieburn have picked up well but there still coming from a long way back just avoiding relegation last year to being flag favourites takes a lot of hard work to pull it off . Carey an kite at one end cloke brothers at the other what a shoot out it will be

call me captain obvious but douttas and cburn have put a lot into the recruiting side of things, westy not far behind and I think it's gonna be out of the 3 to play a part in the big dance...
the other 6 teams are just making up the numbers to be honest.
predicting a big fall from grace for Glenroy losing Aaron kite and also losing Nathan sciberras at the end of last season, who was arguably best in comp 2 years back behind the Caruso brothers.
relegation talks not only for them but also for oak park, who if my sources are correct claim Moey allouche as their best recruit?

Both Aaron kyte and Nathan scibarras have both signed at eds which strengthens them and weakens the competition
Cragieburn and west to challenge eds ... I don't think it will be as straight forward as we all think
