Hey let's remember that club had a lot of juniors not so long ago and now where are they. Tulla didn't play many of there own home grown talent for many years due to bad club management. Now they are going after 18-19 year olds from premier clubs and sneaking around. I don't like the way they are going about it.. Grow and look after your own backyard.

Do we see the strong clubs like Abers & Greenvale go sneaking around div1 clubs trying to poach 18 year olds. And these clubs (and other premier clubs) have the money to throw at kids.

I understand having a crack at 22-25 year olds that are playing reserves at premier level and can't crack it for a game after trying for years to obtain a regular spot but not kids who the club has invested time in..

Watch out for the guy snooping around your ground on Saturdays or training nights. He might be wearing a disguise to..

Anyway I'm moving on..

I'm no goose I can assure you, but if you feel better saying this good for you.. I'm guessing you might be the coach (or the club person who got the coach) I'm referring to yeah???

If your not at least tell us who you follow..

Do you think I'm alone in my thoughts, if so your the goose pal. Maybe I can't stop this happening, but I just thought I would raise it as other clubs with good 18s will need to be watchful.

I'm going back to the premier thread and leave you to to keep battling. No wonder your previous coach ( who got you to a grand final) left. That was a smart move, not!! I do recall people some people on hear slagging him at the time. Was that you??

No need to reply, unless you have to, as I'm moving on from you, as you really have nothing decent to report..

You are kidding yourself Turbo. Since time and memorial A Grade clubs have r*ped and pillaged lower ranked clubs of their young talent. And when I mean young I mean 12-16 year olds. A grade clubs have forever been in the ears of the best players' parents offering all sorts of benefits. Keilor, Abers, Strathmore and Greenvale have all been guilty of this.

Yes they have many who start off at the club as 7 year olds but they have heaps who get plucked from ages 12-16. They pick the eyes out of the B & C grade clubs juniors.

In fact Jets and Cannons staff have regularly told parents to shift players to A grade clubs if they want a look in down the track. They lose both ways.

A club like Tulla has only one option at this stage. Recruit or die. Until they can fix the U10-U16 problem they will need to continually recruit U18 players with the hope they can be good senior players. I don't agree that U18 get offered good money to play senior football for B grade teams but what else do they do?

Enjoy your team following Pacco Turbo and enjoy the ride. There are dollars flying around everywhere at Raeburn Reserve at the moment and a top class team has been purchased. Don't think for a second your club is above any of this behaviour.

Money is what has caused this issue. Haves and have nots. Not a desperate B Grade coach trying to improve his list.

Greenvale have grown there own but Abers have certainly poached there fair share of Juniors.

I think you should be questioning the integrity of the player rather than the coach.

Usually when a fringe player leaves for a club in a lower div to play 1's , it's to feed there own ego.

The best clubman are the ones who stay at a club no matter which team they play in.

Tulla coach got sacked he didn't leave
I'm more worried about the rubbish you put on here trying to discredit coaches clubs and hard work people coming up with baseless rumours you origanly said he was approaching reserve players now it's kids it's hard enough for div 1 teams as it is to get there slice of the pie it don't need captain negatives like you I'll defend any club that someone has obviously got a vendetta with now get back to the premier thread like you promised

Before I go from this subject, Here is my first 2 posts on this topic which clearly states YOUNG players. Get your facts right, before you start stirring the pot..

I'm hearing that the Tulla coach is trying to poach some premier clubs YOUNG reserves players with promise of senior footy and $$. Pretty low act if you ask me..not much integrity..

Hope he remembers what goes around comes around, so be careful..

Yeah but they are YOUNG kids who have played at the club all there juniors. Not some 25-26, not getting opportunities.
So are you saying this is acceptable? Then premier clubs will try and poach the good div1 18s players to come across to premier..IMO not a lot of integrity but each to there own. People have long memories....

In closing its a credit to clubs who have under 18s as they do put a lot of resources into them as its the way for all clubs to move forward. A good mix of younger players, older players and new recruits..

As product2 mentioned I'm going back to premier to support the "mighty" Pacco.

Cheers from the Turbo..

Are you reading correctly? They are trying to poach kids just out of 18s from premier clubs. They have or will play seniors..

All clubs recruit but not all pay overs. Some clubs pay what a player is worth and there are some decent footballers out there that don't go to the highest offer but the best fit for them..

Premier league clubs have been doing this for years, we lost a fair few juniors years back to some clubs offering kids as young as under 14s iPods and iPads as sign on fees.

There is no club in the edfl that is offering iPods and iPads and phones too juniors. I wouldn't believe it and I won't believe it. It's nonsense. I think there are far to many people who hold grudges when kids leave for a different club be it better or higher division or whatever the reason. Let kids play where they want.

Believe what you want to believe, I'm not here to convince you. Just commenting on a topic that has been raised but can tell you that what I have written is 100% fact.

That's 15. And we all know what they are getting paid north of. Plus the other 10 that are getting $6-800. There is a bloke who can't get a gig on the ball who is on $1250 a week. That is serious money for a half forward who doesn't kick goals.

Only one who could get close and they probably are in Pascoe Vale.

And you know what... I don't care. We all know Abers are spending like it is the Boxing day sales. They have for the last 4 years. But they are not Robinson Crusoe. PV, GV, Strathmore and Keilor all spend plenty. Abers are just pipping them right now.

It's just a fact. If Abers don't spend it they can't win it. Simple.

Hey Product2,
Like your work on big footy, but for the record Pacco are not close to Abers.

Pacco would be about 4th or 5th in order of player payments in the EDFL behind Abers, Strathmore, Greenvale & Avondale (in no particular order). Yes we have recruited well (and smart) but maybe surprising some people as we are coming from the lower end of the ladder. Pacco's top 12 would be rated lower in average against at least 3 other clubs. Anyway that's my opinion.

For the record Abers, Strathmore & Avondale have recruited more players than they lost from last year, so I'm pretty much on the mark. I'm not sure about Greenvale has don't know many people down there..

Anyway who cares as surely we enjoy the quality of these players in our league.. As long as clubs stick to there budgets and pay players I don't see a problem with it..

From what I read & hear everyone is jealous of what Abers pay their players, and it's been going on for years. Just put your head down and take up the challenge to try and knock them off. I suppose Abers are the Collingwood of the EDFL but good luck to them. You go into there social rooms and they have a lot of people working hard, weather that be behind the bar, canteen or whatever..Its also an expensive area to reside in, so selling raffle tickets is no problem..

Anyway bring on rounds 6 & 7 to see if Pacco can continue on there merry way and be be serious challenger. Some tough games but the Pacco panthers say bring it on, as we are ready...

Given a few of your recruits shopped themselves to a couple of those clubs and still ended up at Pacco, I'd be very surprised if they'd be far behind in tpp - if they are at all.

You are joking of course , trying to get a rise obviously, its been going on form day dot, good kids getting poached from other clubs doesn't happen does it!!!
They normally don't make it to seniors before being poached.
As for Tulla and i am not from there and actually don't like the club, what is he supposed to do, he has walked in to a job where most of the senior list has left,
they have no under 18's, he is trying to build a list from scratch, if one of your 10 clubs you seem to know everything about was in this predicament what would you want them to do, roll over and shut the doors. Tulla need to be very careful or they will be in trouble they need youth to rebuild, i actually think they have done a remarkable job in recruiting a competitive list.
Poor premier clubs losing good kids , give me a spell.
Totally agree. How many of the best junior kids go from their local division 1 club to the premiership powerhouses like keilor and Strathmore

This is the most sensible post I have read on here. Totally agree that this occurs making the strong stronger. Well said product2

Most of your new recruits were enticed to the club by the all mighty dollar, which was more than what other clubs were offering. That's not opinion, that's fact.

Previous years Paccos budget would have been around the Marbi, Airport west mark. This year it would be more than Keilor and up around the Strathmore, Greenvale mark.
