That is shit they have had the whole season to work it out
 
I just think its crap, the EDFL expects the best football to be played, with the biggest crowd possible... seriously, greenvale and keilor... think about how many people are going to be there. Do they take the rain possibility factor in? Not really much shelter at either ground... I understand these grounds are used as they are fenced off and you have to pay to get in, but what about Coburg City Oval?

Coburgs ground not available next week due to VFL game. I'm guessing first week of premier finals will be at Coburg in 2 weeks.

It would be a great idea to play at Essendons training ground but not much shelter there either. I must say Keilor and Greenvales grounds are pretty good as long as they are willing to do the catering. Agree not much shelter and is there public transport available? I don't think there is. That to me is a bigger issue.

if you want shelter it needs to be at highgate but that ground is just to open & windy for finals footy IMO.

Not sure to many other options??

Here's another thought. Seeing that Essendon won't allow the edfl to use Windy hill why not call Footscray and see if they can use Whitten oval. Good facilities, shelter and public transport at the doorstep. The WRFL are not using it for div1 but not sure about the other divisions.
Even try Carltons Princess Park but think the Ammos use it.

Its not Essendon that's not allowing it. Its the VFL. Essendon are upset about this cause of the money their social club will lose

That is ridiculous and a real shame if this is true, hope the EDFL are doing all they can to get windy hill this weekend. Highgate can get windy turbo but no worse than greenvale i would of thought. Couple of great games this weekend would love for them to be at WH and coburg
 
I thought the AFL and VFL were trying to boost local footy, not play finals at suburban grounds.
 
I remember in the 80's watching finals at Arden St. I think as long as the GF is at Windy Hill or Coburg it's OK to play the lead up finals at Keilor or Greenvale.
 
It is what it is.
There are certainly worse places to watch or play a game of footy than Keilor and Greenvale football grounds.

EDS easy win over cburn smith will be too hard to contain and the burners don't have a player who can be as damaging as him with ball in hand.

Tulla to upset westy in a close game pretty to be the game changer in this one

If fynch has to play on kite it could be a big day for kite on the open spaces of greenvale. To big,strong, and quick !
Westy by 20 points over a gallant Tulla .
Excellent job by Tulla to make the finals by the way . It's a credit to those guys. Well done .

You obviously haven't seen fynchy from craigieburn play.. I have been to a few craigieburn games this year and he is a great defender with good closing speed..
 
Call me big kev cause I'm exciting I think tulla are a real smokey we would love to have no injuries but that's footy
5 blokes over 6' 3'' going threw the forward line will hold them in good stead we want it dry
 
Kite and Carey yet to play against Craigieburn could be interestin as speed is a weekness for Craigieburn. Could both kite and Carey help or hinder eds speed advantage.
