Another one has seemingly slipped through the sharks net, with Mitch Hahn signing with Sunshine last night. After things started so well for the Sharks maybe the recent events of certain players training at other clubs are an indication that the commitee is finding out why the coach was moved on from his last 3 jobs. Very interesting.

Yes i heard the same thing not long ago..I thought the Mitch Hahn deal was sorted for Hillside but with a little more money offered and some grumbles coming out of the Sharks camp already he took the Sunshine offer instead cant blame him.

On other teams wispers are EK and MV are coming along nicely, some good recruits and good numbers at training. Heard EK have some real good recruits coming in this year and the new coaching staff there are up and about. Still havent got any names on these recruits yet though, any one got any info?

Same here. Never saw a coach take watch training from the other side of the ground before.

Hahn after big dollars, Sunshine paying way more than Hillside were prepapred to pay.

Also his friendship with Patrick Wiggins will have helped. Something mustn't have been right at the Sharks for him to look elsewhere, I heard they were offering his a fair bit there too

Which players? Wouldnt think Laverton would have to many good players considering they were second last in wrfl last year.. i no they did have a few good players down there a few years ago though

I only heard it 2nd hand but there are a couple training and the bloke mentioned he was a quick HFF type, Coxy or something like that?

i was talking to a under 18 coach and he was commenting on the lack of numbers on the training track in the pre season and that this was normal as most only show up when the practice matches start. can anyone shed some light if this is normal for all unders?

Typical for 16-18yo kids


Might be different at a club with a good 18's side.... I wouldn't know though my 2 years in under 18's resulted in about 3 wins

rumour circling East Sunbury that they only have about 30 players for senior teams and are having a crisis meeting in regards to whether they can field the necessary sides. Also having issues with Under 18 numbers?? Anyone from within East Sunbury comment on the rumours? Pretty strong around town.

East Keilor vs Sunshine Heights
Coburg Districts vs Old Westbourne


Not sure on others i know Roxburgh Park play their first Practice Match on March 23rd against Corio

Kangaroos won the flag in 2012 could be a lopsided game. Realise it's only a practice Match but you'd try play sides that are in a equal div or thereabouts so it turns out to be a competitive game and the guys get something from it

They beat a WRFL div 1 (higher standard than RDFL) side by 6-7 goals the other week, in any event it's just a praccy game.

I was at the north footscray game, As a wrfl div 1 side they would have wanted to have 60% of their side out or they are in MASSIVE trouble

Yes I was also at the game. I know it was very early in the season for both sides so it isn't very fair to be to harsh but the standard of football was terrible for both teams. North were missing a lot of players including their star recruit ronnie burns and other better players. But none the less still got beat to a team that they should be beating, with that said well done to jacana you can see they are trying to improve still a long way to go but the only way is up for them, next few practice matches should give better indications you would think.

Tipping them to play off in the div 2 gf

Long way off I know but they played finals last year in the wrfl made it to the prelim if memory serves me correctly and have strengthened their list in 2013

What makes you say they have strengthend there list? From what i have noticed in clearances going out, they have lost alot of senior players from last year.

I did hear a rumour a few weeks ago about the Ex AFL Player if it is the player i heard of, he would be 35-36 now and had a few injuries past 2 years. would still be handy but wouldnt play the whole year. Would be interesting to hear the name of the player though just to confirm
