don't think you can say 19 cappa was one of the best, his kicking at goal was abysmal.

he missed some absolute sitters.

had a chance to put them 8 points in front with 10 minutes to play and kicking with the wind, it was a huge miss, he looked gutted after the game, his kicking style is auskick level at best which is a real shame given how well he reads the ball in the air and out marks bigger opponents
17 years old and kicked 4.4 and had the better of his more experienced and bigger opposition most of the day. Was one of roxys best.

#6 vince madafferi won the medal he kicked four goals from the midfield

Deserved winner

Thought 13 for Roxy was good

Number 13 was nearly as bad as number 4, he carried on with the crowd & liked the biffo as well.

Number 7 for Roxy impressed me,played well and focused on footy.

The other 2 should look at him how to go about it.

Kicking 82 goals in a year is pretty good for Auskick level

Aaron Szwedyc's behaviour throughout the year has largely gone unnoticed due to the quality of umpiring through the home and away season.

Constantly going the man instead of the ball and giving plenty of behind play hits. Though, his undisciplinary 'aggression' has been something that Roxy players have had to put up with all year and a gutsy call by the coaching staff to play him in the senior side.

Will he be welcomed back at Burnside Heights next year?

But its div3 umpires so they do there best during the home & away season. I can tell you either the coach, assistant, or 1 of the other off field coaches would have seen this all year but choose to ignore it and it comes back to bite them in finals. Surely people are aware it's 2016 and footy has changed with regards to players who don't play the footy. Just watch AFL..

I seen this player early in the season run at a player with the ball with the intention to hurt instead of tackle, and knocked himself out. Would have been better going in low and hard and tackle. I could tell that day it spelt trouble. Gave away the odd 50 to that day. The question should be asked, was he in there best 22 players available..

I happened to camp in front of where the players came on/off the field, and I must say my ten year old went home with some new words to his vocabulary ha ha!!! Couple of women behind us were rippa's, F Bombs, C Bombs, and don't worry the cluster of dudes in their black EDFL jackets didn't sell themselves strongly to a neutral observer with some of their responses also.

EK deserved it on the day, their pressure when required was to the level and they took their chances in front of goal. I felt for Paul Derrick who has done a mighty job in charge at Roxy albeit now without reward. Last year crueled by injury and then Saturday the actions of a couple was disappointing at really crucial moments.

6 for Ek led by example, thought the crash and bash of 33 was good too at times, 19 indeed for Roxy, 7/55 too and 16 before injured.

Hey Doona, great to have you venture to our league. However have you been reading my posts? If so you should have known what to expect. Lol

Yes I also have seen Derrick in action and he appears to be a good coach with the right methods. But his only the coach.

The stuff you have mentioned happened, is what really annoys me with certain clubs and the reason they are where they are. I think the league might turn a blind eye to some stuff as its div3 but I agree with you, and hope the league has a meeting with certain clubs to sort this stuff out. There are some grounds/clubs you just wouldn't take your kids, girlfriends or families to and you have seen one example first hand. So very disappointing in today's football.

To me the answer is simple for EDFL.
1/ Must video all games in every division.
2/ Certain clubs should have higher affiliation fees which go towards employing a few EDFL staff to go around to certain grounds (in plain clothes) each Sat and provide the league with a report on what they see off field and from the coaches box.
3/ Should club presidents & Vice Presidents wear a club jacket/polo each Sat which has an EDFL club president logo on them so they are visual around the ground representing both the club & league..

.

You're kidding me aren't you??

Shit happens at every club from time to time... No club is without sin regardless of division

Biff happens in every division feral supporters are in every club to some degree

Thug players play at every club from time to time

Bullshit to try say it just happens at div 3

Enough with the hyperbole

Wake up mate. I think you mentioned the thug player not me.

Reality is in all leagues the lower divisions are worse, but I do agree maybe after the Keilor FC incident I need to reconsider my thoughts.

I provided 3 ideas on ways to fix things. Do you have any ideas other than to say they are at every club. That's not right let me tell you. Best you venture to all grounds and see how many young kids are watching or running around at each ground. My point is the bad eggs (or your word ferals) need to be shown the door and told to F&&& off no matter who they are. Yes things get said at every game but when it's constant that's not good and needs to be stamped out.

Aaron's behavior was certainly not good however think that giving the kid and others that may have caused the ground issues as passionate footy supporters we should try find a way to help these kids least he's of street doing harm to himself and others with all the money paid in fees should the league look at problem kids and clubs and get some sort of professional help its just a thought in sure people may bag me on this but some of these kids do have footy skills but lack every day skills hope someone at league reads this post and does something to help these kids survive and stay in sport a sport we all love

Won't get an argument on me on providing an outlet and a support environment for all types of backgrounds, I apologise to you all if my earlier post got taken the wrong way.

I get the whole grand final day, and on field things bubble over I was more saying my surprise at the crowd side of the fence, which included some colourful interaction by men obviously representing your league on the day.

A posse of 5-6 in EDFL gear camped within earshot of me and the guys I stood with, certainly could've done more if you ask me but "chose" not to. One however bit back at the crowd with a big "Go and get F**ked" ..... all class

I liked it there the has Beens if not people who couldn't get a kick so give it back as teddy Whittin would say stick it right up them good on the bloke

Keyboard warriors I see. I don't follow Roxy but was at the game, if they had won it wouldn't have been mentioned, personally feel sorry for the bloke, do we forget who made the scores level? Number 4. He likes to throw his weight around and div 3 suits him Just right so long he does it the right way.

You can't put down a gf loss to 1 or 2 guys, how about the 150 metre penalty? That was the full forward Capuano who started the whole thing.

East keilor a tackling was second to none and was the difference.
Roxy turned it over Infront of goal with 3 good chances in the dying minutes to ice the game and coming out of defence.

It's just local footy let's not sit here potting blokes who might not have the ability and that are running around for minimum coin.

Unlucky Roxy but this comp will get harder, so they need a new coach? 2 wins in 7 finals...

Typical Roxy, couldnt happen to a better bunch could it? thought they had the flag won in june. Number 4 is a disgrace, could not get a kick all day and was beaten in the ruck soundly. Roxy go missing in finals has happened for years now, can be as good as you want during the normal season, all means nothing if fail to show up on grand final day YET AGAIN.

How do you know they thought they had the flag won in June ?
Couldn't have happened to a better bunch ???? What do you base this comment on ?
Are you a supporter, a committee member....a disgruntled player maybe or a player from another Div 2 side ?
Number 4 beaten in the ruck soundly ? Were you even at the game ? Did not play ruck at all, if anything may have been for a 5 minute period.
All credit to East Keilor for playing better, disciplined football on the day......as for you ??

It's official Fletcher (Assistant from Craigieburn) coaching Jacana next season and bring some off field people across, as well as some players. Stay tuned!!

Hope the guy who hooked into the new Wallan coach this year about recruiting has his say here too :D

Well can't say much more than very disappointing result on the weekend.
Have to agree 'We Choked'.
Didn't play our best football all day, & to their credit, EK did.
Undisciplined at times (sucked in perhaps) , some didn't influence game at all , didn't follow instructions well.
Thought Cappa & Tim Blacker were shining lights up fwd , both kicked 3 & provided targets on a day were we didn't have many. Both superstars in this comp.
Short busted his ass & was easily our best. Dimech worked hard.
Backline , although didn't have their normal influence on the game, were solid.
Horrible end to a terrific season , and we all have to take responsibility for that.
Not sure what the fallout will be , wether it will send us spiralling backwards or make us more determined than ever? God knows it hurts atm.
Thx to all the heroes on here , who's sides never got near a Grandfinal , yet are quick to bag Roxy , your opinions are noted.
