Elliott, Farrell and carrio
Coach comments incorrect.. jags look the goods!
I'm hearing Farrelly broken ankle, Carrio neck/spine injury and Elliott split head/concussion.
Add to that 6 automatic inclusions unavailable due to injury.
The boys who are on holidays are still three weeks away.
Some tuff few weeks ahead down at lakeside.

All this talk about a side that wouldn't of made finals even at full strength.

Mackinnon,Hamza,Dalpiaz,Micallef, to name a few its only two games before they are back to near full strength and those two are Burnside(easy win for anyone) and Sunbury
Farrelly and Elliot are massive losses
Carrio also
Hopefully have the depth to cover them

Farrelly and young Elliot are massive loses
So is carrio
Bet you the coach is hanging for the boys to return from Europe

7 of them gone away few others refusing to play seniors because of the coach they would rather play Ressies or not at all sad really seeing as it was the players that caused the change in coach in the first place
Yep gone back 10 years. Looks like burnside may get the win in a fortnights time. And no finals for roxy. Sounds like utter turmoil down at the rox. Heard no ones turning up to functions and the vibe down there is terrible. They said players that left were replaceable but were they? For a team that has made final for the last 3 years and have this going on is pretty disgraceful. All due to a few player who didn't want the coach there anymore.. will they ever be happy with anyone? Word is they are not happy with the new coach

They will be lucky to win the next two if the injured boys don't play.

Jacana coburg saints valley..

Roxy is going to be a long way back before the others get back from Europe

Burnside and Sunbury they will have the guys from Europe back after that both you would expect them even with there current team to win

Been watching northern saints lately , they are really starting to gel together and find some form. Number 2 Sheehan has been dominate over the past month and could be looking good for Comp b & f , and with all their players coming back from injury within the next 2-4 weeks they could be a threat to the jags. Only time will tell .

Yes I agree , he is a top player and is really in some fine from. Has put a great month of footy together .
Once all there player and fully fit they will be a hard team to face , especially at home and will take it up to jags in the finals. Also in the 2nds number 6 for northern was unbelievable and took everything that came his way, he could be a crutial in for them . Not sure who he is .

Caught some Roxy games the past few years before father in law shifted from nearby, and dunno how the coach gets all the blame for that GF loss last season to be honest. Some terrible football and at times discipline play by guys who should know better and need to bare a lot of the blame.

And if it is true that the tail wags the dog at Roxy then god help the next fella they bring in.

It's been really interesting to see how some clubs are changing for the better while some clubs like Roxy seem to be treading water and show little improvement at all.

After playing all teams now, it's great to see clubs like NS, Jacana and even Coburg really striving forward both onfield and off-field. NS in particular seem to have a really great off-field team, very involved and engaging co-presidents, plenty of players and supporters in our rooms when we played them at home etc. Jacana seem to be building off-field too which is great.

But then you have Roxy, we played them at our ground and they had a very unpleasant crowd, the away change rooms were left in an absolutely disgusting state and not a single roxy person came into the rooms after the game. It seems that there is always a very negative vibe in all aspects when we play roxy and it takes much of the enjoyment from the game IMO. Yes they've been 'successful' in making the last few senior grand finals but at the end of the day, they haven't won any of them and it doesn't seem like they've improved much off field so I wouldn't be surprised (or disappointed) to see them overtaken by some of these other clubs who actually try to improve their club as a whole.

Just a question for you Tippety, is your club the same one that 'controversially' won the Anzac day game last year v Roxy ?
If so that may answer the lack of respect Roxy has for your club.

CouldNotPlay, I guess the whole point of Tippety's post is clubs setting standards and looking forward, not backwards. I hear your point but sooner or later clubs like Roxy must be bigger than that and look to the future IF they wish to move forward in any possible way. New players, coaches etc wouldn't need to hear negative stuff but rather focus on moving forward together. It's a bit like some clubs who review their list at season's end and have courage to move on players that do not want to adhere to club standards.

Just on opposition players coming into rooms post game I think is becoming something that happens at a lot of clubs nowadays. Why? Not sure but think the clubs should ALL get together and come up with a plan to improve this. Things like
-president/coaches post game speeches at a certain time!
-visiting side best player award!
-maybe a few plates of party pies on tables or a sausage in bread for each opposition player post game?

Btw- this is for all grades of footy.
Thoughts??

The issue with club supporters is not good and really needs to be stamped out from the presidents & committee. I know previous committees there tried very hard to eliminate this behaviour but couldn't and ended up giving up.. These were good people trying to steer them in the right direction. Just because people come and watch footy doesn't give them the right to abuse people or do other things. Would they do these things at home in front of family? Would they say things to people in the street one on one? Most likely not..
Football clubs should engage people and be family clubs in this day and age.

Cheers

Completely understand Turbo, just stating the fact as to why no one from Roxy went into the rooms after the game. A very bitter pill sits in their mouth after the episode in last year's Anzac Day match (if that's Tippety's club anyway. I have many friends at Roxy and they are a very hard working and family orientated club, just don't understand why people from the outside, or bitter ones which have left, continually pot the club. What happened to their coach pre-season was an unfortunate episode and if you speak to that coach he still has a great love for the club and its people and is at most of their games. Maybe they have missed their window of opportunity in the last three years, so maybe need to take a few steps back to go forward again.

As for treading water & showing little improvement at all......that is a very uneducated comment from Tippety.

Actually bought a couple after the game, to be honest very little kp players were in there at the time??.. just a lot of older folk/supporters. Need to look at your own back yard before commenting on others

Wouldn't expect anything less as he's a good bloke. Guess sometimes you get what you deserve and maybe Roxy don't deserve genuine, heart in right place for the right reason types like Paul and now Travis ....

The coach needs support from the top to be really successful in today's footy..Can't do it on their own. Paul & Trav good honest footy people but who is controlling the off field stuff. Some clubs require really strong leaders.

Some big games next weekend
jacana v northern
MV v CD
Burnside a big chance against a struggling Roxy

If Northern can stay within a few goals then theyll be well placed come year end. I'm told they have a bunch out
MV must win to show the comp they are serious contenders. Good young emerging group.
Roxy should still win.
