Things may have gotten worse for Abers.
Hearing there 2nd under 14 team had their game called off last night due to big brawl.
Let’s see if the EDFL come and say something this week.

Also hearing that both strathmore fc and EDFL investigating last weeks incident. Seperate investigations

When it rains you it pours. Abers u/16 girl has sent a Gisborne girl home in an ambulance. Abers girl was much bigger and punched her straight in the face. Then Gisborne girl threw 1 back. Both sent off. Gisborne girl collapsed as she ran off. Not one Abers parent or coach told their girl off and whinged to the umpire about there girl getting sent.

That’s Abers for you.

Biggest issue I’ve seen so far coaching my boys is sling tackles.
Didn’t a free kick even when we had a boy knocked out.
Been happening all year.
Needs to be urgently addressed

The girls footy is in some ways tougher than the boys.

The boys have been told since under 8s not to punch on but the girls, especially big girls who have just come to the game, have no reference point and they just keep fighting and trying to dominate.

The girl's game is more about physical domination than anything else. If you get a big girl who comes in, she will throw her weight around even if she hasn't got the ball.

The Abers girl hasn’t played the last 3 weeks, so hopefully that means the EDFL gave her a decent suspension. Hopefully the Abers parents realise how serious it was now.

Down to last 3 teams in Juniors. Boys 10,14 & 16s the big 3 left Abers, Keilor, Mores. Ascot Vale replace Abers in 12s.
Girls similar with Abers, Mores and Marby in the 12, 14 and 16s.

Abers have always been a dirty team. Girls footy can be tougher than the boys as boys have been taught not to fight but the girls like to bully each other and some of them are tougher than nails. We need to have more education on girls not to start cat fights and their consequences.

Oak Park are the worst team for starting trouble. Especially their girls teams, consistently sniping and doing dirty tactics behind play.

Another year of the Big 3 taking out all flags in Div 1. Well done EDFL , never cap the number of junior teams clubs can submit, keep on keeping it equal!
Capping teams should happen but it won’t impact results greatly apart from under 16s when often the good under14s from lower division clubs leave for the greener pastures.

Worst time for them kids to leave, rules them out of interleague for that year. Few parents and kids found that out the hard way this year.
