Seen the Hadfield Vs St.Albans game think St.Albans only won by 11 goals they had a heap more ball and scoring shots should have one by more. Hadfield had a few new faces.
David Crooks (Airport West)
Younger Sayers (Strathmore Reserves)
Tom Delany (Abers Reserves)

The young sayers (Adam) needs to be appluaded,
being the first openly GAY footballer in the EDFL.
My question is why would a gay footballer go to a club that wears Brown and Gold, Not very flattering

Saw the KP v Kangas game. Hopefully KP are hiding afew otherwise it looks like a long year ahead for the boys from the artic tundra.

edflman lets not get a head of our selfs it was the same time last year that port melb colts(wrfl)beat keilor by a few goals.would of been a lot more if colts did'nt play there 2nds in the last half.plus I don't think stalbans will be a finals team this year.

Bronco27 for god sake open up your eyes, after seeing St Albans the other night the top four or five teams in B grade in the edfl EDFL would go close or even beat some of the A grade teams in the WRFL. My reasons for this statement is because of the players that are playing in the edfl, the Wrfl seem to be lossing all there guns that played in the comp last year.
As for the A grade EDFL no one in your comp would get near the likes of strathmore, greenvale, kelior avondale etc!
Bottom line, five years ago the comps were close but now lm affraid thats a distant memory bronco27.

Aussie Dude is spending too much time belting out a few numbers at Bridie O'Reilly's.

west is looking good so far they have some very good players one that stood out was number 11 who is he. he had that ball on a string [he must be worth a bit].

west will as have a good res team with big baz, fida, richard n, ibby, john that's a very good center line.

Bronco27 here are just a few teams and players that could walk into any WRFL league division 1 with easy.

W.Cob have - Haoucher, Flavel, Micklewaite, Kakoor, Zouzounis, Vass, Cudmore, Kheir, Abbouchi, Messaike, Taleb that
MARBY - Zerafa, Athos Hyrousalikis, D.Weston, Nashy, Bangit, J.Bell, A.Lakkis, Agresta, Gilpin, etc

Whilst I agree there may be a difference in quality in leagues, St. Albans were not at full strength the other night. I noticed a lot of young kids in the side, which is purely promoting the kids who have been training hard and giving them a crack. In my opinion, thats what practice matches are for; trying things and testing players out.

I would suggest St Albans had a few out because all of their quality players have CLEARED out :p

They are playing kids as thats all they have

His going well My north, marby will still be strong this year by far and still be in the top 3 if they can keep all there players they have signed for 2006. Its not his fault Murphy and Garbutt have lefted when you look at it.

Thats fair enough Jama, most teams are not playing at full strength at this time of year! KP looked good last night, when will there new players be playing by?

I believe they have a Practice match against St Mary's this weekend, will be playing a far stronger side on Saturday Afternoon.

Expect to see a full strength outfit for next weeks game against the burgers.

Whisper is some high profile boys from Alice Springs might be rolled out this weekend ;)

Correct my Fine Man,

Just go to the WRFL site and have a look at the players cleared to the EDFL and the clubs they have gone to.

Whilst the names mean nothing to me, I would assume most are quality. I could not see Douttas, Strathmore, Avondale etc taking rubbish ??

With so many moving accross, our league must be seen as stronger ??

Looked good? They were playing a side that would be lucky to be top four in A Reserves and got a good run for their money. Lot of work to be done at the north pole.

Jama, they had some new faces and young blokes which is good sign for the club. Cant wait to see the new blokes from NT next week they should be a clear stand out from the rest! KP will be the surprise pick this year in my opinion.

Fair Comment, but I think you will find 80% of the guys playing last night were reserves at best.

Based on this I think they got a good indication on where the second string players are sitting.

Yep Sunbury were crap, but KP had a less experienced side in.

Good signs from the handful seniors that played. Leigh Cook looks to be a great pick up. Stevie Maitland looks like he might step up, young Mabo in the middle has great pace and Josh Nannup can take a grab.

Next week against the burgers will be a better indication :thumbsu:

For a team that had there best 4 to 6 pick ups out, l might say they looked good for there first hitout of the year.....what was the final score.......

Couldnt agree more Jama, teams will only get better each week with the inclusion of better experienced players etc.

Thats fair enough. But don't tell us how good they looked - they didn't. Agree Cook looks like he can play but prefer to see him against a decent opponent.

With Keilor Park big man Chris Smith going to greenvale, how did KP go in the ruck department last night?

when you look at what?? Unlike Murphy, Garbutt did not leave Marby for money. Why don't you ask some of their players. Matt P, Westy, Zeraf.

JAMA - you mentioned it was a good indication of where the second string players are sitting and 80% were reserves.....was down there last night having a look and a bit confused, can you please tell me who the actual seniors players are that are consistent A GRADE performers from last season that were missing.......dont include the departures!!!!!
