Sticks if you can beat Keilor playing for 12 minutes we got no hope.

Wasn't there Aber but I feel it is more a reflection that Keilor are a bit off the mark than how strong Douttas are.... Douttas Should never have been 6 gls down in the first place !!!!

Hopefully the boys are feeling generous and give the Mores a 6 goal head start next meeting.

anyone here from greenvale know if theres any truth to the rumours going around that apparently Steve Paxman may be interested in a coaching role at a B Grade club, apparently a playing-coach role has been discussed??

He'd have to have Rox in his head!!! hehe

any truth??

Jacana have shown strong interest in Paxman. They seem to be mounting an offer in the range of $100-150 per game plus a $50 bonus if they play finals. I spose it will be up to Greenvale to match the offer, or risk losing their captain and quite possibly the biggest name to play in the edfl for sometime.

Serious why would he go to bgrade when i am sure he could be an assistant or take over at a grade level straight away..

Correct if Doutta are to be any chance they need to be going from the start of the game not let teams get a head start ...

Alloca plays forward
Alloca started as a loose at half back. Douttas tried to get him accountable but the Keilor boys kept rolling over with him to get him loose again. He had a very good first half, then got them going in the first 10 minutes of the 3rd qtr. He, along with Gumm, Fraser, Long and Gluschenko, were the reason they were 6 goals up at the 14min mark. Then enter Carey, Docherty and Ramsey. Hollow lifted, Bishop took control in the ruck, and a better 15 minutes of footy you would struggle to see. Keilor were very good to the 14 min mark of the 3rd, then fell away. Good sides can blow an opposition away in 15 minutes, and Doutta did that. After the 'Mores / G'vale result, if Doutta can put together a more controlled 4qtr effort, they could be Strathmore's only danger, Doutta have the right mix but will need to become more consistent over the four qtrs. On Carey, he will be right for next week, he's played with the problem all year. He did come off at the 10 min mark of the last qtr.

May want a challenge and build the club up over 2-3 years. Jacana bottom of B grade no wins for the year is ideal.

massive challenge would need to bring half a dozen good players with him, do jacana have the money to attract players...????

maybe not, both Doutta and Strathmore have beaten them this year. If either of these progress to the final day anything could happen.

Yes, by a combined total of 5 points. In the previous meetings Keilor won by 8-10 goals against both teams, and in the first game against greenvale by 70 odd points, so id still say Keilor the team to beat.

Thats funny but we can't even afford that, not a single player or coach has been paid in the last three years. Where still paying off debts. Not even incentives.

so obviously Strathmore, Greenvale and Doutta Stars have improved. Greenvale the team to beat. Strathmore had Keilor's measure both times (Keilor beat Strathmore by 4-5 goals first time round)

Well that is great Billy hopefully some of those kids come through in the next couple of years to help the club improve rather than going out and buying a new list.
Build a good base and in a couple of years you will reap the rewards...:thumbsu:

All Juniors from the club that played on the weekend and there is another 4 that didnt play but have this year.
yes we are not arguing that Keilor have more of there own But i can tell you now we will be reaping the rewards over the next 5 to 6 years cause our junior system has become one of the better ones and that is largely thanks to Ashley Hicks who has coached alot of the u 14 and u 16 and also the jnr president brett anderson
