I've heard, from a reliable source, that Tullamarine are planning to go on a spending spree, poaching the better Under 18 players from the stronger A Grade clubs. This could pay off if clubs like Strathmore, Doutta Stars etc. are going to continue to spend big $$$.

they should approach the better players from East Keilor they have about 5-6 good 19-20 years olds!

all are willing to talk to other clubs!

Correct Russian it is definitely Troy. Will be interesting to see if Troy and Brad Lloyd continue at Willy. Castello won't be coming to the EDFL, he's a very good VFL player with a lot of years of VFL ahead of him. Ramsey will stay at Douttas, they won't lose anyone. Carey has had bucket loads thrown at him, to his credit he is staying loyal to Douttas. Correct on Billy, he will decide whether it's Heidelberg (hoping to move to the Eastern FL), or back home to St Albans, within the next two weeks.

Thanks for the update Sticks, would be great to attract people of their character to the EDFL in the future.

Big chance Ramsay and Dorazio are heading somewhere in the GV, both young fellas are keen to play the best country footy. How do you think they would both go? considering the GV is alot more open and faster with alot of 1on1 contests, not as much crash and bash physical side of it.

If Dorazio was getting $'s should have given them back. Always suspicious when a player has multiple clubs without much result. Overrated and no loss for the mighty DS.

Why would promising kids leave A grade to play B grade without first having a crack at the better level for a year or two.

I wouldn't think you would want an 18 year old who is just chasing a dollar especially if they haven't played any senior footy.

Has anyone else heard about Avondale Heights pair Cameron Price and Boris Janezic venturing over to Maribyrnong Park? I've heard this one from a number of people.

If this is to be the case and with the signing already of the big fella Dalton from Glenroy and an earlier post suggesting Minton-Connell heading over as well - that would be all they would need to recruit you would think to be a moral for '07 flag - even this far out........!!

How good is it that the EDFL forum still gets massive attention.

Good to see plenty of blokes posting some facts and some rumours, all interesting reading.

The B Grade comp is getting stronger each year with some of the names being thrown around and the A Grade comp is going to be huge next year.

unless they have had season long injuries this season i would't know if the players who played this yr in that age bracket would be anything more than fringe players at best in a top 5 B grade side

Mandarine man you would not want to bring Big Imports to Airport West and I am sure you would trust those in charge of recruiting to do the right thing and bring long term quality young players!

i know a tulla bloke who left a A grade side whos only 19 not for coin but wants to play at 2 o'clock where he was basically told by the coach that he would be playing twos in A grade. money not a issue just seinor footy.

mate plenty of rumours i am putting a stop to cause i know the answers to them, its easy..

As for the one about Docs, a better bloke you would not find playing at Doutta's, could have earned 3 times as much as he was paid at any stage at any other club, but values loyalty more than anything...

As for the boys going from Strathmore good luck to them, i know them and wish them all the best should they decide to go there ...

Havent heard any news on APW as yet, but i would imagine they would start the process pretty soon.

Mercuri actually enjoyed his time at APW before going overseas but struggled to get through training, his body is shot to pieces, so id say he is pretty doubtful - long way to go b4 round one so you never know.

first time poster - long time reader
can say I ve seen a few games this year and though it might be a idea to do a wrap ..
surely brickmiester & co you could offer a variety of opinions on 2006 and the clubs alike
So before we get too focused on next yr would anyone like to print their review on 2006
either grade which teams / players / coaches exceeded expectation or dissapointed
