22 minutes!

while ya there look for some ruddy brains!

not directing this at anyone particular.
it takes a shade under an hour to get from corowa to albury, and he is from corowa, but overall who gives a shi-t, lets stick to the footy talk, which is what this is all about

That was the biggest spray EDFL Moves has seen......!!

Now Sharks boys, other than that stinging attack, what is the new coach going to bring to the club (players etc.) - obviously a club who has the capabilities to go forward......what got him over the line.

From what i read a little earlier he hasn't coached for a while....:thumbsu:
Spitta actually coached this year litening as he's been Zoo's assistant for the last coupla seasons and was believed to b the brains trust at Wests whilst Zoo was playing.
There were 9 applicants all up but it ended up coming down to 2:
Some guy named Shane Raymond from Mornington and Spitta.

Spitta was the clear standout in my eyes not just coz of his knowledge of footy but his knowledge of the league and the brand of footy thats played, also he is just come off a year of success and also the fact that he could attract players to our club and he is bringing the coaching staff with him too.
So all in all all them combined factors was clearly enough.

No news on players as of yet but i know for sure they would b amongst it already pursuing guys to come up.
Looking quite bright for the sharks but like i said we're not getting to far ahead of ourselves as its a long way to the top of the tree in this league.

What does this mean for West Coburg? D mac can you inform us of any players the coach might bring across with him?

Surely one of the criterias of appointing a new coach is what he can bring with him or attract in the way of new players.

Are West Coburg going to continue as the yo - yo's of the competition?

Can anyone from WC tell us of any progress made with new coaches or players?
As i stated in my previous post we will b chasing and trying to attract some quality players to the club whether that b some of the West Coburg boys or elsewhere, we will do the utmost to better the club for the future. But yes i will keep all informed.

As previously posted by the spagger its great to announce Ramano Manilio ( Spitta ) to the new coaching position at The Sharks.

We as a club are most excited to welcome Spitta and his crew to the club and are sure he with his wealth of experience will steer our club in the right direction in the years to come.

So to any players out there who want a new start in an exciting era for an upcoming club JUMP INTO THE SHARK POND everyones welcome.[

dmac is correct here guys! we will widen our net to speak to anyone we deem to be suitable to our list and club.
fair to say we are in a "more than fair" financial position, which i suppose is what we need to be to attract some quality players to our club.
i believe our new coaching staff have already got a list of 15 or so players that they will at least speak to.....

more news soon!

yeah ask any west coburg 2006 player how much input spitta had to there premiership success, spitta was the brains behind the operation, remember Zoo played the first 5 or 6 games or so. Spitta was running the show while Zoo was out there on the field. yes they had a good list, but like i said ask any west coburg senior player, theyd be the best judge at just how much COACHING Spitta has done recently.

like dmac, im a happy shark!

Can anyone clear up a new rule i have heard regarding "a club can only clear 4 players to another club, and then no more players can be cleared to that club from the first club" sounds confuseing. eg east keilor can only clear 4 players to moonee valley, then no one else from east keilor can be cleared to moonee valley until the next season. if this is true it will stop groups of mates changing clubs together.

For the record it is Gold and Blue.......as in......"Cheer Cheer the Gold and the Blue".
Ask Brickman for the rest of the words. They would still be ringing in his ears.
It would have been sung 17 times during the Home and Away games, once during the semi's and countless times after the Grand Final.;)
I think Doutta Stars has sang their song 19 times after 19 flags, which leads to countless time a-sehole:D

I played 18's at Strathmore last year, but I don't understand what you mean when you say we got well looked after in 2006  A few of the 18's moving up have no idea what chance they have of playing 1's at Strathmore, and with the likes of the players down there, believe that they won't get a chance. Therefore we are looking elsewhere. I think it is in the club's best interest to sit guys like myself down and have a chat to them. Because I think you've got more of a chance of keeping these guys at the club, than the likes of Poyas, Doering etc.

TC out. :thumbsu:
From what I hear, Shane Harvey Little the new coach at Avondale Heights is putting together a good side with a balance of experience and young developing players. May be oportunities for younger players there. Good 19 year olds may be the top liners in a couple of years.

Majority of those won just after the boys got back from the big one Righty. Pots were a shilling, stops got nailed in and the boys even had a nip of port at half time. The mighty DS even sang a different song .

Spagger looks like there are some good times a head at the sharks. ive had a few good mates play down there over the years and they seem to rate the club highly shouldnt be too much of a worry recruiting players now that you have some financial stability. do you think catania is going to stay next year?

Gee Whiz Tony,
From the outside looking in Strathmore of all the clubs in the A Grade competition have developed and groomed and given opportunities to under 18s and won back to back A grade premierships and an Under 18s flag.

Looking at the record past under 18s players included - Glen Campbell, Dale May, James Watts, Dean Capewell, Michael Robson, Nick Mazzeo, Nick Gowland, Josh Stormont, Jarrad Morrison, Jack Simpson, Nick Gillman, Brad Lusher and probably others, Wish my club gave as many an oportunity as that to its juniors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dale played a much higher standard (Cannons, Vic Metro), Michael Robson went on to bigger and better things (Bendigo Bombers), Josh Stormont was at Old Essendon for a while, Jarad Morrison played Cannons and a Richmond reserves game and Brad Lusher only played coz he's 6"6! It seems like you need a "name" to play in the side. The club leaves you hanging, insisting that you will get a chance...but it's not the case. As I said yesterday, the Committee should chat to every Under 18 coming up and give them a frank assessment. Tell us the truth, not what we wanna hear!
