w-coburg 18's very good side in the B,s 2006 but how would they go in the A,s(faster and fitter comp) ?We all know that people from others sides have said that they are not a fair side(like fighting--thats is only what l have heard lam not saying this to start anything). But how would they go v d/stars or even keilor and s/more add oak park..these sides play very good hard footy and they wouldn't take a step back...

Yes Brickman. Nothing like a couple of months of cricket to get you yearning for the footy to start.
We all know that the boys from Buckleys play for the love of the jumper and a light beer after the game, whilst those mercenaries from the other side of the tram tracks live only for the sound of fifty dollar notes being dropped into their manbags.
Such is life.
hahaha i like your thinking but some wouldnt get up if they were only fifties...

How's about F*CK off from this site footy players - it is seriously getting annoying.

Pay some real coin to advertise probably istead of this crap spam you continue to drop every few days on every single thread.

also depends on how many of West Coburg under 18 in 2006 are going up in seniors/reserve for 2007.
Not sure where there under 16 finished in 2006 who are steping up to under 18 this year.
West Coburg's 2006 u/18's would of made the top 4 in A grade last season, IMO.

Gee, what a response. Thanks for stating the obvious JJF:D
i think we need to put a ban on the discussion topic "loyalty" for good. everyone know's it's a load of ********e these days, why do we bother. stop whingeing about clubs spending money. if you've got it, spend it. if you don't have it, find it, then spend it. if you can't find it to spend it, go back to b grade.

"loyalty" great word, but once Money came in to local football, it went out the door.

Very few players can claim to be loyal, i can name a few but no need to..

Can only hope to develop a good JNR list and hope to top up with a few Quality players that once they get in to the club they will stay long term just like Nutter:D

WC under 16s won the flag in the div 2 comp this year. although IMO, werent the best football team in the comp, playing in the comp, my side struggelled more against 3 or 4 other teams. will have alot of players go up to the u/18 comp though.

There isn't any reason why a good junior side in B Grade isn't as good as a good A Grade junior side.
It is only the senior side which dictates whether you are in A or B Grade.
The U16 or U18 (can't remeber which age group) lighting premiership was a perfect example of this.

Agree.
A lot of ordinary footballers play juniors at A grade sides.
Some of my mates played in some very handy Strathmore junior sides and they were handy players at best.

Here here Nemo i would agree 100% and on a totaly different topic ive seen a few grounds in the EDFL of late and needless to say they are very dry and F$%CKED basically. It will be nice for anyone who cops that first bone crunching tackle in the centre square in round one :D harsh gravel rash :) maybe all clubs need to wear leathers like motocycle riders :)

Now seriously has anyone heard anything on the shortened/cancelled season rumours if there isnt any rain soon???

Cheers THE DREBSTER(bring back the liars club)

l don,t agree with that at all.18,s are the back bone of each club.saying this also with a club that has a good brand of players in the 1st and 2nds this brings out the 18,s to lean and play as good as the 1st and 2nds.Thay learn from these good players in the A's.they get to have a go at playing in the 1's (a's).Playing in the B's l dont think that the standard is as ,not where near the standard as A's.proof is the A's do spend more on better players than B's

theres a thread on www.edflfooty.com about this. apparently only grounds with lights that are suffecent enought to be watered meaning there will be friday night games, saturday, saturday night, sunday

makes sence... and season could be postponed by 4-5 weeks...

If that was the case, why water Lebanon Reserve, the lights there are shocking. You can't play night games there, you can hardly see the ball. Strathmore will be playing there this year, it has been given permission to be watered as they will not be digging up the ground after the cricket season finishes.

Why not water Avondale's ground, easily in the top two grounds in the competition and just had a sh*tload spent on new lighting.
