Re: Mr Controversy In Scotland

Thanks for the kind words General. DS are always in our thoughts at this time of year. Next week the preparation for the Mores finals attack begins while alas we'll have to go down to the bar at the Linc to see the boys from Buckleys in action.
Thankyou for the kind words, you are always welcome to come down and have a drink with us get your *ucken head kick in any time my friend.

Waxy,

Big changes at Cooper St.New Prez and other positions being finalised as we speak.

Looking for a semi-retired,fit,active and common sense type Turf Engineer to be the Ground Maintenance Manager in 2008.Anyone comes to mind?
It is imperative he has some of these qualities.

D.Stars 2008 season commences tomorrow morning with player interviews, recruitment and off-field set-up.Coach to crack the whip big time.

we have herd this sort of stuff far too often... i think douttas should come to terms with the fact that no matter hard hard they work or how much they spend they will never be any good... better luck next year:D

Though Cashmore would have to go another 6 years to get close to the silverware in the cupboard at cooper street? Scar will have to add 50% extra to all the extensions at that rate.........

This is true General but your beginning to sound like an Essendon or Carlton supporter, they are always saying how many flags they have won in the past.

Not to say you/we shouldnt be very proud of the previous feats but im sure we would all agree that some consistency would be nice.We are playing a bit like the Demons, one year good one year bad :(

Anyway im sure with all the injuries to high profile players this year they would have paid out stuff all in $$$ so hopefully they can get a few talls for 08 and have a crack.

Obviously a member of the brains trust down at Buckleys. Probably an intergral part of the senior football panel that managed to take DS from GF to nowhere in one short season. Keep up the good work General.

Just wondering if you actually contribute financially to the mores Aber? and where do you sit on the bandwagon...up the top or on the side so you can jump off early if the ride gets a little rocky. Recon you might be the person that places 5 silver coins in the collection plate on a Sunday but takes out 4 gold ones....maybe you perform some sort of voluntary work for the club as an excuse not to contribute some hard earned bucks...did you ever play for the mores, if so, did you ever go in and get that hard ball, no....ahh, you where the one sheepdogging around the outside...round the outside waiting for the easy one....thats ok though...clubs have to have those weaker type of individuals at the club to survive....hey, good luck in the next couple of weeks...lets hope they play like you didn't...

As I have stated many times Aber has to many shandies on a Saturday. It will be interesting to see where he sits in the scheme of things when the tide turns.
And Waxy why not mention the 18 flags we would definately be hearing it from everyone else if they were good enough to win that many.
Listen to them sproke when they have only got a handful.

Bold statement coming from a supporter of a club that can't finish the game because its "too cold", could you fill us in please Wizza what the minimum temp has to be before the players walk off the job??

Stunning literary barrage there Sammy boy. I'm cut to the bone. You obviously have an uncanny psychic ability to be able to sum up not only my previous footballing deeds, but also my general lack of character so accurately. And you're correct I will be jumping off the band wagon after the Mores win 19 A Grade flags. Cheers.

Do agree, no finals berth this year is no good, will help with the raffle if I can have a slice of the action.

To be a successful club you would have to take in all grades (under 10 to seniors).I think that strathmore would more than hold their own against you if not more in premierships......
Money has nothing to do with their premierships in under 10 to 18`s over the years......
I admit that they bought last years and maybe this years premierships but overall as a club they are to be commended.................

A shit stir is all good and well but the above statement is unwarranted in my opinion .I reckon W.C. had a great 1st year out of B grade and were very very stiff to miss the 4 and i think you'll find every team has alot of multi cultural players many who are guns :) and good blokes.

That`s why your club is going nowhere, thinking of A grade only and not the entire club . It takes a successful junior club to have a successful open age.
ALL THE BEST NEXT YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Umm...think the Generals club won 2 Junior premierships last weekend....that would be one more than yours...suggest you look after your own backyard before casting the microscope over others...how did your U16's and 18's end up this year?? Any coming up to take the place of the million dollar men?? Maybe the juniors will have better luck next year, all the best !!!!!!!!

That day was a disgrace for strathmore in front of 5 people at keilor park...

however the pathetic display from you's in the GF last year was viewed by over 2000... it honestly felt like i was playing school girls

The Mores have all season and will continue this week to play many more home grown players than DS did all year. We heard that "injuries" accounted for DS dramatic decline in 07 so where were all those quality juniors that just can't wait to play for the mighty Stars? I think you'll find that you recruited and paid as many players as most other clubs, just that yours weren't as good.
