Have no real theory just a gut feeling, but Douttas bet Strathmore last year and didn't come close in either final. You would have to say Greenvale are a better side than what Douttas were, but 18 points in two games isn't very much at all.
Would be surprised if Strathmore had there very best team on the park yet this year.
Maybe Abers could confirm or deny this. And Abers don't give us this one point margin rubbish I am sure you are feeling a little more confident than that.

Mores won't have their best team available this week so a win would be a huge result.

I agree SM haven't had the full team out there but let's be honest they've had a blessed run with injury over the last couple of years, which may be by good management or good luck (prob a bit of both). Will be a good test for there big guns to stand up under a bit of duress....

GV haven't been at full strength most of the year either I just hope they play the GF with both at as close to full strength as possible and we have a great match AND no excuses for bitching and moaning by the loser!!!:D

Interested to know your reasoning behind SM turning around 2 losses to GV, plus a loss to Keilor and going straight through??? What have you seen to think they turn it around?

Watched both the GV v SM games, I think the major concern is the man from the movie "The Green Mile" playing at full forward for Greenvale.
Will the big occassion get to the "B Grade Amatuer" who has cement pylons from the waist down...if there's no mark...SM are away...I'm just concerned who's going to kick the GV goals....on the other hand, the man up the other end is a class act, late nudge of the body to mark, great lead and does not give up when the ball hits the turf, and to top it off he's a dead eye dick....he will relish the occasion. Now, I'm not a mores man but have to go with them to win by 4 goals plus....in the "B" grade game it has to be the "Heinz" boys from down the river...by about 8 goals....

I dont care who wins,i hope that Tate gets his head kick in.That will make it 10 times this year.He should keep his little pig dog mouth shut .....but he cant help him self.

Fair assessment of the two key forwards - to a point. In the first match Hakim kicked 6 to Harvey's 2 and I think he was still having nightmares from the GV Full back when the next game came around and didn't play.....
No doubt there's not much happening for the big fella when it's on the ground but to say Harvey "does not give up when the ball hits the turf" is a little too much for me Sammy???

The fact is the pressure of finals could be a telling factor as you say and the 2 FF's will definitely play a huge part in deciding the winner.... either way.

Where do we find out where U18s and reserves finals are played? Had a quick look at the league web site and couldn't find the fixtures for finals.

Thanks mate, but I think a couple of people are mistaken me with a current player.
Let me tell you if I was playing in anybodies football side they would be struggling.

Had always suspected that Sunbury's 'questionable' past would hurt them. Have no knowledge of the club or it's people personally just through reading about their indiscretions.....

Just can't understand how this issue grows legs - at last EDFL meeting with Presidents it was decided that the EDFL representatives should speak to Sunbury - in other words - get the facts of what they(Sunbury) were looking for & at the same time make it clear what the EDFL requirements were given Sunbury wanted to play in our league.
From there - the EDFL reps were to come back to the Presidents & discuss the outcome of talks and make a recommendation.
At this stage I do not beleive this has happened. But then again who knows what direction the league want to go in!!!!!

Beleave me my friend they will not be coming in our comp.EDFL ask them one thing and that was ....what can you offer the EDFL!! JACK SHIT
I will clean the trams tracks down Kelior Road with my dick if they get in.

any tips on this weekend for both grades boys??
i might be in the wrong thread, not involved in this league but have been keen on seeing the results every week in the a and b grade

A GRADE

greenvale VS strathmore- greenvale by 3 goals, even though its a 2 horse race this year i think greenvale are a 3 goal better side as the two results have shown this year...greenvale will get to the granny in a hard fought game....hope for a big crowd... (hakim and winter both to kick 6)
randello to get best on...

Keilor Vs avondale Heights- the word is that a strong rivalry is starting to replicate the good old days with these two teams...big win by the heights to earn a finals berth, caps of a great year for them, but i expect keilor to lift a gear and dispose of avondale, 3 close quarters but i believe keilor will roll on into the prelim against their their old buddys strathmore.
keilor by 25 points...lee fraser and ricky marcy to lead the charge

B GRADE
Marby Vs tullamarine
tullas in hot form can they cause one of the upsets of the year, with the like of young guns hare, marcy and co...or will marbys strong quick bodys be to hard to stop...i think the latter will occur but a closer result than people think..
marby by 15 points.

Pascoe Vale Vs Westmeadows
reality check for westy last week as they got sent home with their tail between their legs, while at the same time pacoe were enjoying a hard fought win against old rival glenroy...confidence is a big thing in finals and i think pascoe vale while be carrying all of it...alot rests on N ohlsen Aldridge and Callegari to get westy of to a fast start and forget about last week. this will be closest result of the weekend but i think westys talent will prevail..

good luck to everyone pulling em on this week!!:thumbsu:

Dont forget about the wiley old veteran Brett Sayers...seems to be kicking a few every week..could be the difference if he bobs up with 3 or 4!!
