Who is Strathmore going to chase now that David Teague has signed as Captain/Coach of the Northern Bullants?

Are you sure the Mores had spoken to him. When Abers spoke to him last week he hadn't spoken to any clubs in the EDFL. He may have been telling fibs though.

Anyone know what Byron Pickett is doing next year?

Heard a little rumor that sam tankard from doutta stars is putiing in for the job at sydenham.

he does live in the area so they would be foolish not to speak to him, hope a new bank opens at the watergardens to pay for him. would be missed at douttas, is coming off a knee operation, good luck.

hey fellas,
have been reading the post for a while now, have got a young boy getting ready for juniors next year. wondering where people think the best place would be???
is it be fair to say a few people here think keilor is the best junior set up???
I cant say they have produced many young guns to play A grade over the last couple of years (obviously pumped out some AFLers tho). SO is there system really that good???

I have raised this point with a keilor fan who told me that they have a few playing VFL and that one of there better juniors for a while sat out last year lacking motivation?

Are your sure the 'folder' wasn't just the lunch menu - probably deciding whether to start from the top down or bottom up.....:p

Looks like Abers are looking to find a replacement for runnals since his looking at a player/coach position.

Dear Players/Supporters & Officials,

I would like to invite all players/ supporters, officials and sponsors to meet the new Keilor Park Football Senior Coach for 2008 in Marcus Barclay.

Marcus Barclay is a favourite son of the Keilor Park Football Club and has played over 300 games of football for the club. He is a Keilor Park premiership player and has also played at both VFL (Coburg) and TAC (Western Jets) level. The club is very excited to have Marcus back where he belongs and in a role that will lead the club forward over the next 3 years. Marcus brings with him fantastic football knowledge, great hunger for success and impressive characteristics to ensure Keilor Park Football Club will have a triumphant 2008.

Marcus will outline the Pre-Season plan for all players and communicate what he will bring to the role and what expectations he has of the playing personnel.

I would also like to introduce on the night other new appointments and other initiatives to the football club in 2008 including;

Its a shame your got no idea on this one jack and that runnals has signed at abers till the end of 09...

So with my solid information can you let us all know how have you come up with this new information on runnals?

His cousin plays with me! It's as simple as that, no rumours or off the grape vine. But then again I could be wrong.
Personally I think it's a lot better if he stays, it improves the standard of the league.

Was at APW last night"great news - the club has spent a some money developing the gym equipment, looks good for a big pre-season - training starts on the 19th November" :thumbsu:

Couple of interesting ones i've been hearing over the last couple of days.

Jimmy Hollow and Joey Laverde doing pre seasons at VFL clubs.

Shane Woewodin along with Mark Chaffey and Darren Gaspar on their way to Marbi with Woe Woe playing coach. Although also heard that Leigh Grey has the job and will bring a few from Nth Heildeberg along with him.

every footy club should have a big rain water tank installed and council should look at buying recycled water if suitable for use on grass as some recycled water cannot be used on grass as it contains high phospherous or sodium levels

Saw on VAFA thread that the Keilor Coaches have been appointed at the Ess Grammer and they have taken Condos with them as part of the deal.
Understand they resigned but I wonder what the supporters feel about taking Condos with them. Rumor is that they have also approached the head trainers son. If correct they are certainly walking a fine line.

yeah know a few people down at oeg...great club professionately run great pick up for them will be looking to go to a grade after they got kicked out of the finals in straight sets in 2007

Good point about the grounds being ready for next season due to lack of rain as it would seem that she's gonna be a very dry summer.Well my solution is to do what General Blastoff does :) he waters his garden every night and has a sign in his garden saying grey water in use here when really its just straight from the tap aint it blastoff :D so we can do the same to all the grounds ;) and have a nice lush surface for 08.

WAXY

Airport west source said that ex coburg and greenvale gun forward al faraj was seen at the club last week having a chat to kd and ian denny. can anyone confirm this?

Last couple of yrs has struggled with injury but if fully fit will be a handfull for opposition backman and will probably be the pick up of the year in b grade.

I thought this too, and it was explained like this to me. The massive amount of water it takes to water a ground would empty a Large Tank just for one watering session.

The Northern Saints well established Gym is starting to get a bit of a workout by a few of the boys.
