Airport west source said that ex coburg and greenvale gun forward al faraj was seen at the club last week having a chat to kd and ian denny. can anyone confirm this?

Last couple of yrs has struggled with injury but if fully fit will be a handfull for opposition backman and will probably be the pick up of the year in b grade.
No chance of being fully fit. Hamstrings shot - held together by a piece of elastic. Fully fit would have walked into Greenvale's 1s last season.

Yeah they came down because they are mates with Daniel Nolan. Quality blokes both finished in the top 10 in the BnF.

I thought this too, and it was explained like this to me. The massive amount of water it takes to water a ground would empty a Large Tank just for one watering session.

The Northern Saints well established Gym is starting to get a bit of a workout by a few of the boys.
if a ground gets 2 waters a year from the tank its worth it. betta than none and the water is free. cant rely on rain or the council.....if the dam levels go even lower water restrictions will tighten and there will be no water for any club......each club should do what they can to ensure they survive the drought

so how do you think craigeburn will go next year if the keep everyone. they have got jacobs and wiggley from epping and i think nugent from west preston is close to signing should be a chance to win a few more games then last year.

any thoughts?

craigieburn already had some quality players, players that have come from their juniors such as nolan mcdonald gordon and pappin pretty young side needed a couple more quality players to make finals should win more games this year craigieburn have plenty of money could go out and buy flag but have instead devolped juniors

Point of fact.... no one 'walked' into GV's 1's this year, just ask George Bakoulas, Mark Budge, O'Connor (mocca) as well as premiership players - O'Neil, the Burns brothers etc etc Being 100% fit was just the first hurdle to getting in that side!!

Point taken......poor choice of words but would've given a mighty shake if fully fit. Unfortunately unlikely to happen again. Pity!

Al was nothing more than a victim of circumstance.... Any other side, any other year..... and he would've played. Great player and great bloke too, he'll figure heavily if he goes to B grade or another A grade club....;)

greenvales side is an awesome outfit but faraj is a walk up start anywhere and would be in greenvales top 10 players, hamstrings or not he can change a game just sitting at full forward. i sat and watched greenvale play my mob oak park in rd 2 and was even at halftime until faraj flicked the switch in the second half and had something to do with an 80 point thrashing. general o'neal should of been banished to the twos like he was early in the yr. i know what you guys are saying about you had to earn your spot but faraj is a gun and has the runs on the board.

Absolutley agree that he's a gun and if the big guy Hakim hadn't kicked those bags early in the year Al would've been fine. Really, if the selectors had their time again I'm tipping Al would've played in the 1's GF instead of the 2's..... As I said, a victim of circumstances.....:thumbsu:

Saw on VAFA thread that the Keilor Coaches have been appointed at the Ess Grammer and they have taken Condos with them as part of the deal.
Understand they resigned but I wonder what the supporters feel about taking Condos with them. Rumor is that they have also approached the head trainers son. If correct they are certainly walking a fine line.
I heard the head trainers son works with the Former Keilor Coach,

It will be a huge loss to the KFC to loose this young lad, but it is up to the KFC to do there best to keep him, Like I mean playing in the VAFA you don't get paid right ??

If this player goes then you will find some others leave with him.

Good luck to these boys who play there next year, as all year they complained about the coach and now they are following him? Interesting.

How did Jason D'orazio go this year? Heard he found a new niche as a tagger and is very good at niggling high profile opponents, Holmen from Strathmore comes to mind as one of his scalps.

The young bloke is very aware of his ability & I would be surprised if he left KFC. He has a huge future and wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a future leader. He was wasted this year - why would you go and waste another at OEG with the same coaching group??

you have to be kidding.
nugget are you Jason D'orazio talking about yourself.
besides weighing 45 kilos wringing wet, there is no way he could shut down a player like holman. the only thing those two have in common is they like to hang out the back and get the easy kick and D'orazio can even do that. this is not having a do at holman he's a very good player because of it.
Jason also like to shower in his jocks.

Well It is hard to retain players if you still do not have a coach.

But you have players like:

Fraser
Marcy x 2
Clinnick
Porter
Zahra
James
Opar brothers (Confirmed return)
Rambo's x 3
Ball
Finn (Should finally be given his chance)
Rogowski can finally have a full year at full forward.
Cooper
Moore

With these players who all seem to get along i can not see them leaving.

Yes I also hear Condos is leaving, but that will give rogowski a chance that he has wanted for years to play full forward.

Anyway maybe these guys are just waiting to see who gets appointed.
