Spoke to a bloke from the Burn the other day. Really talking up the eagles chances of a top 4 finish.
Anyone rate them in the top 4-6 sides?

The worst they will finish is fourth I suspect 3rd behind greenvale and Marby park![]()
yer mate of mine reckons hes training at pascoe vale atm, lookin fit, good pik up for them i suppose...has winter gone to northern saints??? sounds like a done deal
Can't see him leaving Old Essendon mate, besides, he's no good anyway.Heard a rumour that Mat Towner's brother Sean is going to Marby Park to play as well, anyone heard this? What's he like?

Some perspective me thinks!! The bottom line is the bloke signed a contract and was/is a required player from all reports. If he had an intention to return to Westy why the hell did he sign the contract in the first place, I think you and your mate are a bit confused!!

Bullsh*t!!!!!
Recruit negative players and you'll get negative results..
I've had an involvement with blokes like Saliba when he was at the Bullants abd seriously if you're pinning your hopes on blokes like him you will be stuffed.
There has been speculation he was going back to his jnr club - good on him for it if he does but if he's running around on the ball in an Eagles jumper you will get smashed again.
I'm happy to stand corrected and strongly believe the EDFL A Grade comp need Craigeburn firing and i saw about 5 Craigeburn home games last yr and the atmosphere at D S Aitken Reserve is as good as any local ground.
Just don't shoot your load to early as you haven't played a game in 2008 yet.
It's a long season and you have a tough draw - chances are you could be 2 - 4 after 6. You will lose he first 4 games i think.

whats wrong with saliba? brent gordon was a superb player last season. the thing i like about craigieburn is that majority of the side is all from their juniors. dont go spend up big on players from outside

I don't rate him as a player because a couple of years ago i played a few games against him at lalor and he packed the sh*ts towards the end of the season and quit the club. some of my mates who played with him couldn stand him.
Just one bloke i wouldn't have a beer with that's all ooh and he's got terrible skills.
I agree with your comments about Gordon - he is a super player.
They have always promoted from within and i said they are a club needed for A Grade i'm not convinced yet that they will finish 3rd or 4th - as was stated earlier and the reason i respondes.

Umm I have no affiliation with the Eagles.
I just said that a mate was genuinely talking up their chances..

Saliba is a good in and under player, will give his all every match and will never die wondering, can be his own worst enomy at times occasionally undisciplend and his hardness at the ball has stuffed his shoulders.
I am surprised Craigieburn didnt have a decent crack at getting former junior player Eric Kuret back to the club all though would have had to give up a lot of coin to get anywhere near Greenvale.
Don't worry about Saliba he will be in and under but Jacobs, Nugent and Fohuna will dominate not to mention Brooks. Watch out for Wriggles in the backline great player great bloke.Bullsh*t!!!!!

He played in the AFL for Hawthorn and is a player manager for IMG or one of the big player agent companies. I would say he would have a fair idea Mr C.
ben hakim training at the northern saints

Saw on the clearances that Ake Fonua is heading to Craigieburn???
Dont spend up big on players from outside??? he was on a packet at Hoppers, and l would strongly suggest aint going to Craigieburn for nothing less than $500 a game plus extras. he has had 5 clubs in 5 years and has earnt big coin at every one and left the year after. struggled for 90% of the 2007 year but when he did play well, he showed he is a good player.
ps. Hope he had that shoulder fixed, cos it will pop out every week otherwise and good luck with mum..........very colourful!!!! And he doesn't train very often. if you get him once a week you have done well
Trained at Marbi this week looked fit and moved really well .Apparently has had a falling out with the coaching staff over them focussing all their attention on Jimmy Condos and not him .Can't see him leaving Old Essendon mate, besides, he's no good anyway.

Played with Corn Flake last year and he's alright - leave him alone.
Good in small doses old David!!!!!

Quote of the Year - "I LOVE THIS JUMPER" - Marby Park recruit in April 2008.
TC, either you or Glen himself are full of crap. l never spoke to him about coming over to Sydenham as he isnt a player we were interested in so l dont understand how we offered him a packet. Some of you Keilor blokes are so full of itScott Dann and Keiron Prowse on board at Keilor. Both quality players who would fight it out for the B&F.
Glenn Sullivan has also committed to the club and from what we see on the track The Strasbourg is definately flying. Glad we were able to talk him out of signing for a packet down at Sydneham.
