Craigeburn v Douttas - 17 goals. Douttas percentage now shot!

Keilor v Abers - 7 goals. Keilor the real deal!

Greenvale v Strathmore - 9 goals. Back to their best after a scare!

Marbi v Avondale - 23 goals. Avondale are bad!

Oak Park v West Coburg - 6 goals. Oak Park bounce back!
what can I say, you need to change that crystal ball or the drugs your on.....really you were that far off the mark it was laughable !!! anyway at least you know where the bold button is ;)

Also heard rumors buzzing around Clifton Park on Saturday that former Aberfeldie junior and current SANFL star Kristian De Pasquale will be making an appearance at the club in current weeks and that Abers president John Larkins will be making him one of the biggest offers in EDFL history to return to the club for the 2009 season.

Word was John is keen to build on what he expects to be a much improved year for the club this year and bring some of the old Aberfeldie juniors having success elsewhere back to the club.

Ridiculous call mate, dunno who you are but you are way off. As was said, Kristian is not the sort of bloke who cares about $$$$ and from what i heard he is very happy in Adelaide at the moment and if he ever did come back he would play for abers but not because of coin.

It is true that he has been taking a keen interest in abers and enquires regularly about how their going and is pretty excited about them winning some games. From what ive heard he is coming down to watch a match or two soon.

Your right lads, Kristian isn't a man to chase the dollar from what I know of him. What I really should have said was that I know big Johnny Larkins would love to get Kristian back to the club and with some whispers about he was returning to watch a match or two in a few weeks big Johnny seemed very excited.

However should Kristian come back to Melbourne, which my sources tell me is less than a 50% chance of occuring, I don't know that Abers would be a lock to obtain his services. Kristian may look to return to VFL football or even play else where, so I'm sure there would be something of a battle for his services.

I know the boy quite well and I wholeheartedly agree that money will have nothing to do with his decision on where he plays in 2009 and beyond. I believe that he plays football to challenge himself in a league befitting of his talents.

I know that marby were enquiring about his services and the price on his head was quite a handsome sum. However, he rejected the approach to continue playing over in Adelaide.

I also believe that he is coming back to watch an Aberfeldie game in the coming rounds and has been asking about their progress in the EDFL.

on yesterdays effort yes two on the trot is feasible but a good win to the heights today will make for a tight contest.

players to return in the coming weeks : weston, philpot, pearson, t.tankard, j.dorazio.

Who has been filling the vacant ruck role at doutta's? Is Philpott back in this week? Couple of quality players to come back for the stars in the coming weeks including little dynamo barletta who done his hammy early first game. Maybe they wont be the sellar dwellers everyone thought after round 1....:thumbsu:

I agree that his services would not be a lock at Abers. You would think that he would go to the VFL if he came back. He also went to school at PEGS and regularly inquires as to how Old Essendon Grammar are going in the ammos. He still has mates who play there so that wouldn't be out of the question either.
He is an out-and-out gun by all reports. Has he won a Megary in SA?

Perhaps Doutta wont be down the bottom as all had them pegged for.

But - if youre pinning a revival on the likes of Philpoo and Barletta i'm sorry to say - HAND ON IT!!!!!

For a bloke who has plenty to say about football you should understand that at this level every player has a role to play.
Each Player offers different things to a team and everyone who is at a club knows the role they need to play to help the team improve.
So in regards to your comments above they are both important players to the team the play for even though they may not be the superstar you are...!

That's a fair comment and point taken.

I will stress though that personally Douttas will struggle and i stand to be corrected and chance are i might be.

When you put Philpott up against a Sapiano or Bartletta against a L. Ryan - i'd say Oakers are more advanced!

Good on ya Jets06

Good to see youre hacvin a crack at it.

Don't Craigeburn look to be in trouble now.

Could be 0 - 3 after this week and with big bufdget few double heads to roll!

He is a very talented player. He would probably tear up in the Ammos or EDFL. He hasn't won the Megary Medal but he did win Port Magpies B&F in his first season. I agree that he would have a lot of offers come in if he were to move back home.

From all reports he is very happy in Adelaide and has a steady job outside of football. If I were to make an assumption at this stage, I would rank Abers slightly ahead of OEG if he were to come back.

Paxman and Potter due back next week!

Chris Smith on his last legs and could be running around in the 12pm game very soon by all reports but I could be wrong!

Well i am not putting a barletta up against Luke because they play different positions unless Luke is now playing on a Half Back Flank.
As for Philpott i think you will find he was the second best ruckman in the comp last year behind Quinn. Philpott held his own against all the ruckman in the comp last year and will do so again this coming season,
but as i said its your opinion and we are all entitled to have one.
i think it will be a very good game in 2 weeks time..

dont think marby will ine up like that macca - they are already to slow as
avondale exposed last week , Agresta is the size of a small block of flats
they need to get some speed in and some defensive pressure going
I think A grade may be harder than GA thought - he has added some good players
but not enough speed , the running sides will cut through them

they need laverde up and going
interesting times ahead
