Marby defeated Craigieburn by 2 goals after trailing by 7 goals at 3/4 time. Craigieburn was out coached in the last quarter. Ziros went forward and became a great option and Laverede dominated in the middle. Definately, one that got away for the Eagles.

Geez the Crazy's let that one slip, would have been a huge win.

Douttas won by 7 goals,Kade 7 or 8 and alot like last week all contributed and there pressure was first rate :thumbsu: great win up there ;)

Hadfield beat Roxy.

What is it with the culture down at Haddy? On atleast 2 occasions in todays game, number 4 threatened to bash his team mates. Why? Because they didnt kick the ball to him. Apparently this guy has a history of doing it, yet they continue to let it happen.

As a former player of the club, i thought it was disgaceful, and i will not set foot in the place again until they change the way they go about things.

Other results as below and a huge win by Strathmore they just seem to be getting better as the season goes on and the two blues are coming back to the pack after 3 losses in a row and i guess with the Crazys just losing it still leaves the door slightly ajar for Oak Park

Strathmore big winners over Keilor by 7 goals

Avondale too good for Abers by 6 goals

Greenvale smacked Oakers by 80 points

I know its only half way but i just looked at the ladder and 4th are 6 points clear of 5th,6th and 7th and the closest is 24% so perhaps thats how the 4 will end up

Tess please get your head out of the sand...didnt your presdent rip you off last year? Now dont lie!!! as I know your number one sponsor and he wasn"t a happy man. Lucky for you he still whats to help out.

Yeah that was 2006 he ripped the club that why the interim admin couldn't move forward. I only got involved last year to make sure Fawkner had a Club. The decision to merge was made without ANY input from myself at the time, but I got/am 100% behind The Northern Saints.

BTW with Taylors being beat at Westmeadows today the Northerners won by 8 points so are equal first, the official site has the Northerners drawing todays game on the ladder. Although the scores show an 8 point win so who knows.

The Sainters won, but by jesus they were lucky.

SH played like a side leading the comp, not languishing near the bottom. Well played on their part.

Agree with you there that they were lucky...Not taking anything away from The Sharks but I was very dissapointed with the way we played but 4pts is 4pts and The Sharks have a great future

KFC will have to run a few additional functions in the remaining weeks of this season to try and match the 50k offer put to their high profile coach from St Albans.

Strathmore big winners over Keilor by 7 goals

Did it on the bit and should have won by more. Good performance.

Game was marred by a Keilor defender (number withheld) reported for kicking an opponent in a very ugly incident a few metres from where I was. My 6yo could not believe it.

Worst thing one can do on the field and I actually felt for the bloke as he knew how badly he stuffed up moments later. Might have a number of weeks to think about it!

Yes Marby played one quarter of football to win the game against Craigieburn, kicking 11-12 goals to 2 in the last quater to win by 2 goals

P.S Good to see to new Craigieburn bypasss out there reduces the time a little bit, but almost ran out off petrol.

Go Marby!!

yep, and strathmore were totally clean all day

on a serious note, when will someone have the guts to refuse to sign off on playing on that ground? its an absolute disgrace.

id also hate to rain on tess' parade but northern saints would loss games in a grade by 200 points. they wouldnt have a player in their whole team that would get a game at GV or KE. the same goes for the rest of b grade, the side in this years GF should attempt to lose, cause if they win they wont win another game for 18 months.

league b&f

i reakon barry brooks would have to be a chance. plays in more losing sides than most but is a stand out. would get votes in most games. must have taken 20 marks the day i saw him.

St Albans did not offer the KFC coach any Money.

So who ever comes up with this sh!t should really try and get some facts straight and not try and use this forum to stir sh1t as this post you put on handles was a load of crap!

You are a loser sunshine

Agree with you there Star. At no stage should any player on the football field kick another player wether it be intentiually or unitentually. So if he had of kicked him he might have found himeself in a little bit of trouble, But you will find he did NOT] Kick the player in question, so there will be no issues!

Strathmore did win the game on the weekend and played some great football. BUT!!!!! I know if you were there watching the game you would agree with these next comments:

"The Umpiring was an absouloute discrace!!!!! It was possibly the worst umpiring I have ever seen in a football match."

The League need to look at how these two umpires umpired on the weekend and take action against these bloke.
It was more the short fat bloke who struggle to keep up with the game and made mistake after mistake and tried to justify his mistakes with arguing with players.
You could hear his voice from the sidline arguing with the players and getting into verbal confrintations with the players! The OLD SHORT FAT BLOKE needs to be sent to 2nd division for the rest of the season!

There were free kicks given to one side and in the following passage of play the same incident would happen to the opposition and the same umpire called it play on!!!!

The umpires on the weekend caused a lot of friction between the two clubs hence why there were some punches thrown. The umpires did not know what they were doing and spoiled great clash between two top teams!

I also am not trying to take anything away from Strathmore as they did win the game. But please officials of the EDFL please give the short fat bloke the sack!!! As he clearly is uncapable of umpiring at an A Grage level as he was to slow to keep up with the game between two heavy weights of the comptititon.

Well done to the MOORES on a great win but ...........

As a spectator it was the worst display of umpiring I have seen for 20 years!!!!!

He was indeed woeful at best.

Worst thing he is he actually has a son playing @ keilor....perhaps to not show bias towards keilor he was paying 50/50s the other way...

i wouldnt say not 1 b grade player at all could break into gv or keilors side, theres still a couple of decent players who run around in 2nd div, but you are right that whoever wins will enjoy 1 week of glory followed by many weeks of pain. dont think any b grade club is in a position to improve there list enough to stay in a grade next year, and everyones list is not up to 1st div as it is. if not much changed next year, oak park(i hope the come good and avoid it) would not lose a game next year and would do it the greatest of ease.

Disappointing to see the umpiring ruined such a good match. Strathmore are the real deal. Any team that smashes Keilor in 3/4 like that are good.

Were there many fights throughout the game. It seems like a great round
of football. Marbo Park seem to pull miracles. Can't believe they kicked 11 goals in the last quarter in the bad weather, Avondale are proving they are better than we think, Doutta Stars are now the side that everybody thought before Round 1. Carey, Ramsay, Philpott, Faraj are absolutely on fire.
Lastly, Greenvale unbeatable. It is not fair how good these guys are.

200 Points!! Oak Park can't be far off B Grade at the minute and although copping a hiding on the weekend it was no where near the amouts you are suggesting.

Any B Grade club knows there is a big step up, but Marby are proving it's not impossible. More importantly Avondale are the one club to have transitioned well...and been competitive without the big spend.

Your comment on B Grade players not getting games in at Greenvale or Keilor. You might need to watch a few games. The General O'Neill is one example No2 would be Matt Sammut from Westy. Played in the BLF rep side last year.

A Grade is good, it's still just local footy. Don't get too far ahead of yourself.

yes was also at that game and left the club for similar reasons but credit where credit is due the club has improved a lot lately the juniors now fielding a two teams in each age group which if they can keep the kids at the club will pay off long term. need to get rid of the dropkicks down there though

Between the ground and the umpires they have actually re-adjusted the scores and Keilor have won it by 10 goals. Well done boys.

I would agree with the second part of this statement s you would think they are only 3 or 4 players away from being a real force but i guess for what Marby spend which i dont know but am happy to speculate :D High $100K mark maybe more and apparantley they have 15+ new senior players from last year they are a little dissapointing.

Dont get me wrong i know its there first year up but for the rumoured coin they are spending(i know its all rumour) i would want to be pushing top 2,but hey good on em that have been down for so many years so to be winning in A Grade is a great effort and im sure if my club was languishing for years and someone pumped in a heap of coin to get us out i would be happy to take it ;)

But who knows if they make the finals(should do) they may surprise the other teams.

Also on another note the cliche that most of footy is all between the ears couldnt be more correct in my mind as watching douttas the last few weeks the way they have been maning up,being accountable and the pressure they have put on the opposisition has been a real treat.

Sure having some quality players helps but the boys certainly seem to be having a real crack and are playing for each other and the jumper which is all you can ask ;)
