what is darren harris background

Premiership player at Nth Ken in 96 as a 19 y.o, then Melbourne Reserves for a year, then played a few Premierships in the powerhouse Northcote Park sides in 98,99. Played 2000 at Marby.
2001 did not play. Went to Northcote Park for a few years and last year played at Rox Park with brother Shane.
With a preseason under his belt will be a real talent again. Great speed.

MATT P. can you tell me what really happened when the coach of Doutta's was sacked a couple of years ago. was it a player revault, or was it that he just couldn't coach ? Is he coaching anywhere ? his credentials from what I remember were fairly handy.
And whats the real reason Dean Brown is no longer at Keilor Park. whisper is he was given the coaching gig and then he heard 2nd hand that if was re-advertised.

Mate, heard similar things with both. Ithink you are spot on, but can't confirm. I heard that D.Brown then retired. All the sudden a month later he was at Bundoora.

Matt,
too many of the panelists sit on the fence. with the exceptions of Ian Denny, Paul Harrison, Brett Scott and KD everyone else is to touchy feely and do not want to say something that may rebound on them on the field.
Maybe regular independant panelists such as Scorcher,Harro or Murray along with yourself and then interview a coach or player.

For the record who had trouble getting their head through the door.....
1.John Barbuto
2.KD
3.David Callander
4.Shane Keogh
5.Jason Giarusso
6.Paul Harrison

and did the ego match the amount of make up required?

Anyway keep up the good work, Matty?

What about Marby V WC on the Sunday?

Cheers mate. It is a great idea Round 4 on a Sunday. I think both clubs
are working out their Junior structure, etc.

It would be a great B Grade spectacle.
Good call with panel members. Everybody has different opinions.
A lot of people are calling for fresh faces.

Somebody mentioned Mark Stone. I agree, but he has only been back in the EDFL for a year
or so and he's knowledge on players and clubs is minimal. Good operator Stoney.

I heard a rumour that JD and gf Brook may be going to live in perth for a year after doing his knee, maybe to resist the temptation of playing late in 2006.

In regards to the best kid in the edfl i would go with Addam Maric of greenvale. The kid is bottom age 16's kicked 120. He is extremely powerful and quick. Height is his worry, but he plays like a rover, so when the other kids grow he wont be effected. Played in the 18's final i saw at windy hill against oak park and was best on by a mile. Cameron Hare is good, but you must remember that there are u18's already playing seniors. There is a kid from keilor that goes well, and chris burns has already played 45 games of seniors, has a pre/ship medal, and i think was captain of the league side this year.

Hey Matty do you know anything about Johnny Sammut trying to get a clearance to Marby. Nothing but money hungry and over rated good luck with his ego.

I thinks its Johnny Zammit. Has a few mates there. Only wanting to come and play two's from what I hear.

Now you answered that question Matty what about the Sandy player who has been talking to Marby and St Albans whats going on there.
cheers

Mate, I missed training last night and on Monday we ran that hard and I didn't have a chance to say hello to some of the new blokes, but they looked pretty good and solid like they'd played a higher standard.

Westy looks as like they're going to be strong.

Matty hows Andre Lakkis looking at this stage of the season.

Been to training only 4 or 5 times to watch. Starting next week I hear.
The Avondale Boys rekon he is as tough as nails and can play.
Looks pretty solid.

From wat i know he owns a sports store in the town and i would think that he'd have a bit to do with the club, ne body with that kind of experience would be an asset to any club

Thanks Zippa,

Hicks is a top bloke, genuine nice guy, would have been at north for quite a while if he had not smashed his wrist up.

The good Mrs Hickey is an assset too don't woory about that

Finally agree with you Aussie, Adam Maric had a very good year with essendon grammer as well, and if you think he can play football you should see him at cricket, best young bat i have seen.

since ross talks up his jacana boys, i think i should rap up a kid who comes from oak park. the kids name is jack pascu.
his old man is a team of the century player of oak park, and although its a big statement, def think the kid will be just as good if not better than the old man.
did no one watch the a grade u/18 grand final last year, starthmore won by 10+ goals and the kid was bog by a mile and rightly so rewarded the medal, although im sure he would of gave it up for another

agreed... jack pascu is a quality player can talk the talk and walk the walk... unstoppable when all is well.. but when he lapses concentration can do silly things.. but i rate him.. tops

also... best night for jacana tonight... very good numbers in the seniors and 18s and was defienetly best training session.

few young kids decided to take it upon themselves and become a leader at the club after losing a few experienced players.. heard them talking and they want to prove to the ones who left it wasnt worth leaving.. and that if they wanted to return they would be most unwelcome....

but they looked really good tonight and good luck to em!

yep smeds has walked out on jacana and will be playing for roxy for the 2006 season. money a big influence in his decision to leave. heard a rumour that smiley is going to westmeadows... has a mate there. anyone now if this is true?

both had poor seasons last year so not too bad a loss for the jacana.. over-rated footballers... but very dangerous.. smeds position has already been filled by a player from sydenham hillside.

there are ex jacana players at roxy already.. players such as age mackinnon mazin abbouchi etc... romobotis probably was probably after him after smeds played a blinder on him and absolutely shut rombo down...

Looks like Roxi will be able to take the next step in their second year. Horrible ground for footy though. It is always so windy!

tru.. worst ground to play at.. no ground coverage
