Perhaps a slight exaggeration as that works out to be approx. $714 per player per game.

No doubt 4-5 are getting paid that well but the rest?

My source believes $150k is a more accurate indication.

where is this money coming from? why dont they just look to there up and coming players? some of there up and coming players are pritty good and i dont see y they dont put there faith in them. if they dont put there faith in the talent they have in the 18's and those who r around 19 or 20 then they will lose them to other clubs. i know of players tht r in the 18's tht can play and r thinking of leaving strathmore because they dont think they have much of a chance there. stop buying the big names and use the names u have and turn them into big names.

i hope strathmore dont consider this coz i would love sum of the boys from the 18's to come and play at my club. these boys would leave coz they have connections at another club (not edfl).

went down past the nite series tonite and saw abit of the hadfield st albans game.hadfield had a few new faces but very very ordinary players by the looks of things and very slow.down by 6 goals at halftime to a very different looking and struglling st albans uniform.

If St Albans were only beating Hadfield by 6 goals at half time, I'm sorry to say, WRFL div 1 must be of a very poor standard. We can only hope that they beat them by 20 goals in the end.

Sydenham will to finish last in B Grade this year

It has to be between Hadfield and Sydenham fighting for the wooden spoon this year. My money is on Hadfield.

I'm sorry to say, North Coburg's only highlight this year is Paul Chapman's super goal last week in the NAB Cup. This has guaranteed them $1000 direct to their club. I must say, the end of year footy trip will be a good one and can't come quick enough for them.

But they are not anywhere above the other 3 teams in the four last year.

Last year they won a Grand Final because other sides had too many injuries eg Avondale Heights, Keilor and Greenvale. All 3 of those teams with FULL sides are better then Strathmore in my opinion.

Here are some of the "minor" additions:

Myles Quinn: Probably the best Ruckman in the WAFL last year
Tim Harvey: IMO one of the top 5 VFL listed players in the comp last year
Luke Williams: Melbourne listed player last year

Need I go on as this has been done to death.
