Hear that they are abs game breakers placing strathmore in an unbackable pos 4 the flag. I hear oneill is a big hitting power midfielder while jl is a creative ball magnet. Both absolute super players and have it all will be the best two players in the edfl along with hoath strathmore will go through undefeated and just easily win the flag and watch for o'neil lindsay and hoath to be the top 3 in the comp medal

well i think they have moved on coz their footy was suffering a bit lindsay has 3 best and fairest and o'neill 1 and in top sides also if lindsay kept his gob quiet should have won at lease won comp medal and that is the truth so if the new enviroment helps both their discipline the will dominate and quote me on that i'll back them in against most and would love them in my team definate match winners

heard from a few albanvale boys that they got beating by sydenham at deer park today.sydenham had a few of there new blokes out and albanvale had nearly full strength side. also heard that horne (strathmore) played for north sunshine yesterday supposably went allright not outstanding but also throwing up at half time .

saw airportwest v craigieburn, airportwest were missing 5 of its startin 18 and young gun ricky mcveigh was out early with an injury and pappa had little influence. west were far better than the 3 goal victory went asleep in the last but had nothin to do with fitness, to fast to strong and to classy for their opponents and if u were there u would have seen besides there recruits they hav ppl there who are gona be a very big hassel for opposition looked good with runners off half back.

Very impressive Airport West - the kids run all day - Verrel, Barclay & Gentile down back didnt look like they got out of first gear, throw Mick Martyn down there with a couple of kids and its a solid defence. Not a tall forward line but the young guys dont let it out easy - Cacapardo and Piccolo can take a grab and put Mercuri & Blumfield down there - a heap of positives for the eagles. They also have picked up a tall young bloke from the bullants who took a couple of good grabs at both ends.

Craigeburn claim they had 7 or 8 senior blokes out, result wouldnt have changed if both were at full strength, they are going to need those blokes up and running to have a real crack in A Grade. The Pekes brothers are handy pick ups.

Yeah dissapointing in the last quarter.
But as you said players were missing, with Mercuri, Martin, McBride, Allport out it was pretty positive. With Blumfield only playing a quarter and McVeigh less than that, and with Liparota & Divers playing in the 2's all is positive at the moment. We also know that we can't afford to fall asleep like that in the last quarter becuase quality teams like Marby, West Coburg & Taylors Lakes will punish you.

Too old to pull the boots on now JAMA but live nearby - looked really good APW - be great for the club to have a successful season.

Also nicked over to watched Abers play Sunbury Lions - pretty high standard game, minton connell and shephard were dominant up forward, harro got a bit of the ball and had a few decent kids - good signs for Abers. Sunbury won quite comfortably in the end - Chalmers and McCartney from Oak Park played well for the Lions.

Ask any APW resident or those "who live nearby" who these guys are and they wont tell you they can take a grab and will be handy up forward. More likely to be told they are the local pizza shop owners !!!!!

Once again this proves my point on the standard/differences between the EDFL and WRFL leagues. Doutta stars won one the weekend l see, they didnt even finsh in the top 4 last year or play finals, on the other hand hoppers are one of the best or the best in WRFL!

Ive watched every APW home game for the last two years EDFL MAN, buy a record every saturday and have a fair idea who is who..... not sure who you follow but id say you'd be able to talk about YOUR team's players (and spell their names) if you followed them regularly... The players i mentioned would be in the sides top ten, so id assume other b grade sides would know who they are.

Apologies for the correct spelling of their names....actually take a bit of pride in grammar as opposed to a few other posters on this site...!!!

Look for the blue & red deckchair out on the far flank every second saturday....form guide as well.....!! Go Eagles!!!!
