pup4 you are good are bad mouthing players. (first oak park now strathmore) the players you have bagged were picked in the top 21 to play in grandfinals (oak park 04 and stratty 05) it sounds like you need to get that chip of your shoulder and try and make your teams 21 week in week out

Just stating the facts my friend! KP didnt pay an entrance fee to the comp and didnt want to play any of their 1st side as they have more important practice matches on the weekends! Bit hard to judge them thats all...

Correct Sloth,

Paid nothing, were approached by keilor

Were close to pulling out as late as Tuesday Night.

Wanted to focus on Saturdays Game

That being said, was a pretty concerning performance last night.

Seconds or not, the lack of apparent senior players at training is a huge concern:mad:

C'mon who cares, you won a best and fariest at one of those clubs averaging less than five possesions per game. Kicking in from a point doesn't count as a possession either. Mind you, those kick outs would've contributed to his average of 5p's per game! Who Cares, Do you still hang around Glenn Carroll, Frankie Nakad, Sammy Keenan, Joy Coy and The Lord?

What you dont seem to understand, it is not so much that the Saturday Games are important, it;s wnat you get from regular practice matches versus the night series.

The night series only gives you the chance to play, what 24 - 26 guys at best ??

If you make the night series your only practice match schedule, it is hard to give all players a run.

At least the Saturday games give you are chance to play 18's, res, and seniors on the one card.

KP's mistake was to try and have both.

4 games in two weeks, not real smart, too may guys sore from Saturday to pull up last night, too many guys sore from last night for Saturday.

So yeh you can go all out a try and make the semis with your best side, dont have a regular prctice match schedule, but when do the reserves and 18's get a run ???

Gains have been hard to quantify, training has been revolving door, but losses include....................

Chris Smith
Shannon Broadbent
Joe Misiti
Dean Brown
Saul Grenfeld
Fletcher
Fredrickson
Barclay
Marco Castello
Leigh Coles (still may play)
Andrew Sciffo
Reagan
Adrian Moore (travelling)

I am sure I have missed a few but thats not a bad list !!!!

Thats a fair list Jama, some quality players in there with Broadbent, Brown, Coles, Sciffo, Barclay and then you have Misiti who is a superstar.
Some people forget and just dont realise how many KP have losted.
After watching craigieburn on saturday l still think KP have the wood on them.

i got told by the a good source from KP that Misiti is playing

mmmm just as much mail going around to say he won't be playing.

Have heard he is in need of a hip replacement, and looks like having this done fairly soon.

Who says the life of an AFL footballer is simple in retirement hey, can you beleive it, the guy is 32 or so and needs a hip replacement.

Don't think many people realise what these guys put themselves through to play footy at the highest level and how it can make life tough afterwards

Just got told that they have a practice match on Saturday that was more important, not sure who it is against, but it is a EDFL side, that is all i was told....

Thats pretty much it mate. I was just informed that St Albans rang up and said that with the side they put in the night series they were not expecting to make the finals. Talk about having no faith in your players!

Word round the traps is that a certain premiership player (red-headed half-back from Strathmore (#5)) will be running around all year in the 2's due to lack of skill, fitness, etc. Apparently had a massive bender after the premiership win last year. Had a bit of a falling out with Hille as Hille expects his players to be able to man-up & chase opponents. Anyone know any news on that?

mate with all the pick ups strathmore have, he might not be the only 1st player cooling his heels in the ressies

Great point here JAMA, same obviously applied to St Albans. Im assuming they had already organised prac matches with EDFL sides in the following two weeks leading up to round 1 before they had agreed to enter the night series (silly? maybe, maybe not). This allows them to play proper 21 - 22 man senior team and give the reserves a chance to get some match practice in.

EDFL Man and Aussie_dude, i find it hard to understand how you can have a go at someone who played in last years a grade premiership! he is a premiership player and no-one can take that away. when did you last play in a flag boys?

I understand where you are coming from but really if you are not going to see the competition through then dont enter it. It is that simple!
