It was a sickening incident involving Mickey Egan. He was bashed by the owner. A. Turner briefly went in the cop car, but he did nothing wrong, and was let straight out. There was a bit of a scuffel inside that flowed outside, but nothing major. The ambos came and plenty of police.
Thats terrible to hear in regards to my former tulla team mate micky egan can't imagine he would of had to much to say that would of led upto the incident but probably was just sticking up for a mate which may of led to it which is heck e d up, so has anyone got any other reports on the incident is micky ok as i'm guessing the ambulance would of been for him and has the owner been questioned

heard some interesting news, that the roxy coach has stood down and will only be a player for the rest of the year. (Seems to be the go this week with old fitzroy players) can anyone else shed on light on this.

mate dont be fooled. Hille has the most money at his disposal. That doesnt make you are the best coach. Its just like saying the GA is a good coach, his not, but there is no salary cap, so if you have the most money you will.

Agree that the $$$ gives sides a good head start but the competition has been littered with big budgeted teams that fall over in big games.... I just feel that Hille has managed the list well and has created great flexibility with his playing group....

Early in the season it was obvious that Strathmore were looking for Harvey at every opportunity which can be a weakness in local footy... refer Minton Connell @ Abers (01/02)& Aaron James at Doutta stars (03). A poor game from either of these two in a big game meant they couldn't win because they only knew one way to goal...

Hille has recognised that versatility is a key and has developed a number of forward line options in recent times including Winter (more room without Harvey), Thomas, P.Barnard, Dale May & even Oggy kicked a bag last week !!!!

Credit where Credit is due... Even the Brisbane Lions needed some coaching !!!!

Strathmore by 4 gls tomorrow - First of 3 big games the sides will play this year....

Nick McCardle them former Williamstown ruckman in their 4 reserves flags(and played plenty of seniors games) including winning BOG in one of them is back from Overseas and has signed with former team mates ramsay, hollow and laverde. A massive signing for Doutta as a number of fomer team mates were trying to get them at their clubs including Darley in the BFL.

Very quick, agile ruckman which should help them.

Got a feeling Keilor could cause an upset this week and cement a top 4 spot. Greenvale's height may worry the smaller Keilor outfit. If they can contain Bicer they will go along way to wininng.... question is who can stop him... (maybe a 2 or 3 way tagging rotation)...

Does anyone else give them a chance ???

They may very well win. They are a proud club and what's more a quality side who G'vale really respect. The conditions will suit them as well today. They are always great battles but G'vale's height always seems to be the difference but that won't be a factor today.

As for Bicer I think it's pub talk to say sop him stop G'vale. Clubs try week in week out with heavy tags on him. Sure they restrict his possesions (not his effectiveness) but he handles it very well and most times it just makes other teams lose focas. They effectively play one short in the midfield.

Strathmore def Doutta Stars by 30 points today. Great win for the Mores, seen as though they were missing P.Barnard, Lindsay and O'Neill. Gave the Stars a 3 goal head start. Very impressive.

Keilor played a great first quarter and shouldve been leading at 1/4, then fell into a hole and played horrible for the rest of the game, Edwards refused to man up g'vales loose man in defence (#20) and he had a field day unopposed all game getting kicks everytime keilor went forward. The ground did not hold up at all i could only imagine the condition that Lebo reserve wouldve been in

Just read off the www.edflfooty.com website that there was an incident involoving a West Coburg player hitting a female supporter, did anyone who went see it and care to comment.

No names mentioned BLUEBOY???

Know somebody who was a spectator there today and said the brawl was a very ordinary to witness. Was no mention of what instigated it but if your mail is on the money BLUEBOY then id reckon it will be looked into.

He has gone missing lately from here, maybe with good reasons.
Anyone know who this bloke is. The record says a name there for number 37 but that more than likely not updated.

Geez, If I was playing on Saturday the first thing I would be doing after the game is heading for a hot shower..... Last thing you'd want to be doing is wrestling around with opposition supporters.... Must have been someting quite ordinary to instigate a rumble at that stage of the afternoon.....

This could be the 'male bonding' that West Coburg needed to get their season back on track......

Bricksta how did your boys go ??? Were strathmore just a bit to big in the conditions ? ..... Can Doutta's bounce back for the 2nd semi final ???

Heard that Kade Carey didn't play the 2nd half ??

Any news out of Avondale Heights ??? Can they bounce back and threaten for 4th spot ???

Massive Games in A grade -

Strathmore to be a little too strong @ home for Douttas. The mores have alot of options and Hille has developed a versatile game plan that isn't soley relying on one or two players. Playing Harvey at half Back last week is a prime example that the coach is conscience of having a lot options which will hold them in good stead in big games (ie this week). Feel this is the G.F preview and both coaches may play their cards close to their chest as they may come up against each other two more times throughout the season....

Great win by KP last week the whole football world was barracking for them and it was great to see them get over the line.....

Sticks, your comments towards KP seem to have taken a postive turn ???

Total contrast to the bagging you gave the coach, commitee and players a week or two ago,

Why the change champ ??
