aberdaberdo said:She probably used the coaches seat, not required by the great man.
EDFL MAN said:No excuses for Saturday's effort, smashed by a better team on the day.
Lets hope the coaching staff get the match ups right this week and select 21 fit players.
Questions have to asked?
Are West Coburg Soft?
Are they front runners?
Can they come back from Saturday?
Im sure many people on this forum can answer these?
aberdaberdo said:Obviously you know very little about the movement of the great man. Would have stayed at Buckleys if shown any respect at all. Left Douttas being owed money and the abuse he and his wife has received since has certainly convinced him he made the right choice.

aberdaberdo said:No he didn't. He said 10 juniors for the year. How many on Sunday?
Talking to a guy from Pascoe Vale last week and he seemed to think that they would be pretty confident playing West Coburg in the prelim. Thought that they took a lot out of the Qual. final loss to them and would do a couple of things differently next time round.knowsalot said:EDFL Man maybe you can answer those questions yourself.
Where do you think you can lift from the weekends game????
Have Marby got the edge or wood over your guys???
This weeks game against Pacco is massive.
What will be the out come if you loose this week???
What are everyone elses thoughts for this weeks mini grannie?

Aussie_dude said:aberdaberdo take off your blind fold mate. G. Holman left for one reason and one reason only, cash. He get more of it at Strathmore. Just like at the start of last year when winter said to GV, this is SM's offer, can you match it. GV said they couldnt, and thus he plays for SM. Its evolution my friend.
aberdaberdo said:Don't know about Winter, I'II give you a bit of poetic licence there, but wrong on Holman.
Abers, Holman met with Doutta's hierarchy pre-season of 2005, and was told wouldn't be getting the same coin as he had been on, would need to take a cut, wasn't happy and took the better offer at Strathmore - FACT. Not that I have a problem in fellas getting what they want. He is a great player that could name his price at a few clubs. A few of the boys from Leb Res were spoken to and the fact is that Greenvale, Douttas, etc. couldn't compete with the coin being offered by the Mores. Good on Strathmore for being in that position, same as Marby, my only concern is when the well runs dry, what happens to the clubs then.aberdaberdo said:Don't know about Winter, I'II give you a bit of poetic licence there, but wrong on Holman.

Aussie_dude said:GV had 8 home growns on the weekend, and there are 2 more in Lenne and Karabadjak that wil def play next week to bring it to 10. Not bad but still no Keilor.

Ubiquitous said:Gee, lots of FACTS being alleged.
My source direct from the playing group tells it differently. He says that FACT is Holman moved clubs for one reason and ONE REASON ONLY. His best buddy, one Jeremy Barnard, was moving to Melb for personal, not football reasons although he did want to play football. Barnard went to Strathmore because of a previous family link to the club being another brother played there some time after the 1998 flag so knew a few people there already. Wherever Barnard went, Holman would have gone and the money wasn't ever a consideration. Having said that, it would still be what he was worth. Apparently Barnard and Holman have played in 4 flags together now and looking forward to the 5th. Word is that Holman is a top bloke who has become a great clubman, as has Jeremy Barnard and Paul Barnard who are alll loving it and are always at the club.
OrangeCutter said:lol mate our coach is trying to get a side together with APW people so our future is secure. You boys are probaly the better side this year so enjoy it because when the money runs dry and it will, your players will be running faster.
As for sour grapes we gave it a crack, as much as im spewin, i was rapped by the way we played in the finals.
bricksta said:Look we can all talk about this but in the End Nutter is the only one who sure why he left, so lets leave it at that.
Good Guy, Great user of the footy...![]()

DND ME said:VERY surprised to come on here and see nothing about the incident that happened on Saturday between Doutta Stars and Strathmore in the U18’s! I was sitting at the other end of the ground when it happened and I could only JUST make out what happened but it was confirmed afterwards that a Doutta Stars player grabbed the umpire and rag dolled him as such 3 times. And it was alleged he hit him twice with two short soft jabs to the face(not sure about that statement – that’s what was told) but he DEF grabbed him and rag dolled him 3 times back and forwards (saw that with my own eyes), the umpires shirt was ripped so that’s proof in its self the kid will get life!
Cudders also watched your game on the weekend… great kick on ya son but you need to utilize that! play like steward does and get cheap hand balls and pump it in long.
As for Flavel you got a problem when you play Marbi!!?? I watched the last home and away game that you played touched the ball 3 times and then on the weekend after you kicked 2 in the 1st quarter you didn’t look like touching it afterwards, that young kid has got the wood over you!
Theres a major discipline problem at West Coburg, the team does not like to man up! Agresta kicked 10 goals and there was nobody near him all day!
That’s all from me now! look forward to douttas beating greenvale by 10 goals in the seniors – west coburg thumping Pasco vale and get into the real stuff in 2 weeks time!
True EDFL Man the problems will be fixed in good time, but its just a shame that it will cost you a flag. l think its safe to say that there will be a few changes down at shore reserve very shortlyEDFL MAN said:Wouldn't mind the cheap handballs every now and then, they just dont give them!
As for all the other problems down at West Coburg, lm sure everything will be fixed up all in good time.![]()
Nemo said:Douttas twos had a good win on the weekend but seemed mighty slow around the ground. if they lose No. 4 who won most tap outs and took plenty of marks I think there could be an upset.
Huge blunder to drop him while Bishop was on one leg.bricksta said:james philpott was very very good around the ground and in the ruck
