i know a tulla bloke who left a A grade side whos only 19 not for coin but wants to play at 2 o'clock where he was basically told by the coach that he would be playing twos in A grade. money not a issue just seinor footy.

I agree if he wasn't going to get a game in the seniors, but if Tulla are going after the better players from the stronger A grade clubs surely the better kids have to give themselves every oppurtunity to play at the best level they can.
If that means spending a year in and out of the twos so be it, you have to crawl before you walk.
You would also think the quality of training and so on would be of a higher standard in most cases.

I just believe the kids worth grabbing would stay where they are.

I confirm that Shaun Smith will be coaching Taylors Lakes next year. This will suit him better as he lives in the area.
He has already starting poaching players from other teams.
Look out for dome big signings!!!!

Jordan Doering is beleived to be in talks with Strathmore to take a position as a playing captain coach, has anybody else heard this? Also i have it on good authority that Simon Minton Connell will be playing out of the goal square at M.Park in B grade next season. Thanks for your time.

Jordan will be at Strathmore next year for around $22,000,but he won't be coaching.:thumbsu:

I doubt that very much!!
From what i have been told if the assistant coach from this year becomes the coach next year there may be some big signings. I hear he has some friends that have played AFL. Not saying that he will be bringing these players to the club, dont want to upset bricksta with silly rumours.:D

I would also say that if Ramsey was to leave the Stars Carey would go with him!!:(

i agree Nemo, Doeing will be fuming when he realises that he isnt the highest paid player at the club.

unless they have had season long injuries this season i would't know if the players who played this yr in that age bracket would be anything more than fringe players at best in a top 5 B grade side

Leigh Gilbert (captain of 2006 EK @ 20 years of age) Surly he can walk into any other side!
Kassis (19 years - had a knee clean up, missed most of the year) close mates with gilbert and are heard to be looking for a club to play together next year.

Nick Grigg (u/18s) played around 4-5 senior games
and theres 4-5 more kids that i saw this year that have great potential with the right coaching staff!

The coaching panel down at East Keilor have got some work to do! letting great talent slip out of there hands!

I think it's too late the horses have already bolted. If S.Smith has his way the above 2 players and a couple of the older guys will follow him to Taylors Lakes.
How could and why would you want to hang around a club that Shane Keogh is part of. If the club continue with him they will be lucky to field a team in all 3 sides.  Players are still upset with what happened at Strathmore...... P I S S WEAK EFFORT...

last year it was 1300 a game. not sure what it is this year (2007). amazing money for a player that doesnt kick 100+. dont know about him being re signed, i think he may have had a rolling 2 year deal with uncertain terms.

What a lot of crap, You idiots know jacksh..! This site is full of people who have very little to do but make things up to try and cause trouble at clubs. I would suggest you would be better off directing your energies at something positive.

Real News: Aaron James had his appeal heard last night and it was reduced from 4 years to 15 weeks.

Heard P. Docherty has had a chat to a club in the DV as is not happy being asked to take a cut.
Can anyone confirm this?
Nemo, Nemo, Nemo, get back in the Fish-tank knackers:rolleyes: . He will stay at DS, be Captain of DS and may even be playing-assistant at DS. He has mentioned that he would like to enter the Coaching fray, and is keen for whoever Coaches the Stars to have him as a playing-assistant. You never allow loyal Club people to wander away, especially one of DS's finest.

Just thought I'd stop a bit of rot. Kade will be at Doutta Stars in 2007, he would love to have a run around with the King, and depending on scheduling it may be possible, let me repeat that 'it may be possible'. Ramma, D'oraz, Jimmy Hollow, Joey Laverde, etc etc etc............ do I need to keep going, are all committed to DS for 2007, and Douttas are every chance to keep them all. Let's not kid ourselves, some of them will find out what they may be worth on the market, but they will love nothing more than staying together and go one step further. They have no reason to look elsewhere, as they will want to achieve what attracted them to the Stars in the first place - Success with mates. As we witnessed during the finals series, it was Strathmore 1st - the rest a long way off them. I will only offer my opinion on Doutta. They need a couple of stronger-built bodies for the Midfield and Backline, need to get Kade, and the forgotten man Sammy Tankard some help up Forward. Except for Paul Doc's, Elsum and Simon, (sorry fellas) they are a pretty young outfit of 18-23yo's.
