i have no idea what sort of money was paid at strathmore this year. it must have been enormous. many have said well over $200K. but DONT Dr Jack... try telling us that hille is not the reason for strathmore being such a dominant team this year. take away his cash and stathmore are at least back on even pegging with the other sides in the top four. i acknowledge that strathmore has developed itself a big network of supporters and sponsors but lets not forget that the reason why they are there. Hille has bought some terrific players (harvey, winter, quinn, barnards, and now doering and maybe pyas and read) who have brought success to the Mores and THAT is the reason. when he leaves, so will the top notch players as understandably seek the most money they can and the EDFL unfortunately will drop in standard and become more even. It is great to see a bloke become so involved in a club, its just a shame all clubs dont have a hille. when he goes, this competition may just become a competition again.

What a load of patronising garbage about Hille and the hard working Strathmore committee. They may have a good network, and may raise money, but not the amount that is required to fund the team that has been out there in the past two seasons. Without Hille's contribution, and some other not so voluntary contributions, Strathmore would be well short of funds.

As for Hille himself, short term glory, what is the legacy that will be left for his replacement?

Hille has been a Strathmore person all his life and even when he has given up coaching will be a strong supporter and sponser of the club. Someone that has been at Strathmore all his life will not let the club go down........

Deefer... if you bothered to read my post properly you would see i am actually of the same opinion as yourself. HE is the reason for their success. and things will change when he leaves. but lets not forget that all clubs would love to have someone pump that sort of cash into their club. As i said before, if he is not there, neither are the recruits and then A grade will be a contest again.

In regards to Dorazio, anyone who has played in state junior teams, 30 odd Cannons games and a few season in the VFL must be able to play. In that time he has a few B&Fs and has always been a primary on baller. He went up and played at North Wagga with Kade and Faraj and was right up there in there B&F awards. He is just probably a tad unlucky not to be the starting rover week in week out because of the midfielders the Stars have, however the matches i have seen him play this year he would have had 20+ touches and kicked a few on most occasions.

A very good player who i wouldnt hesitate in having as a starting rover in my side.

sydenham Hillside sharks pleased to announce that the coaching staff of the west coburg 2006 premiership team are coming on board for 2007 with 'Spitta' being appointed as the official coach of the side.

Having Spitta, with his vast EDFL experience is a great coup and if we can attract some quality players it will get the place buzzing up here in Hillside!!

in terms of players the coaching staff and committee are forming a list of suitable players that they feel will improve the squad.

in relation to rabee, nothing like that has been discussed at this stage, but it would be absolutely massive if it was true that he will follow the coaching staff to join us at shark park!! having a 3 or 4 time comp medal winner is something that we cant refuse if he were interested.

his first name is Romano i dont know his sirname, hes just known as Spitta.
he is a proven coach he has coached west coburg in a-grade in 90's, he also coached in the WRFL i believe Parkside was his club, he then went back to west coburg as Zoo's assistant 2 years ago.

he was the first edfl a-grade coach to take the previous years b-grade premiers to the a-grade finals the following year when he done it with west coburg in early 90's, i think 1993.

I would really doubt that he would leave his club when they are in A grade, he was very bored playing b grade last year so couldnt see him staying in B grade with a chance to play with West in A grade. But you never know.
