Dale played a much higher standard (Cannons, Vic Metro), Michael Robson went on to bigger and better things (Bendigo Bombers), Josh Stormont was at Old Essendon for a while, Jarad Morrison played Cannons and a Richmond reserves game and Brad Lusher only played coz he's 6"6! It seems like you need a "name" to play in the side. The club leaves you hanging, insisting that you will get a chance...but it's not the case. As I said yesterday, the Committee should chat to every Under 18 coming up and give them a frank assessment. Tell us the truth, not what we wanna hear!

Truth is you have to earn a spot.

Majority of those won just after the boys got back from the big one Righty. Pots were a shilling, stops got nailed in and the boys even had a nip of port at half time. The mighty DS even sang a different song .

Were you the massage girl?

Are you talking about when people played for the love and loyalty to their club not just money?

How many had Strathmore won when you were just relying on peoples loyalty to the club?

Tony, don't forget that Corregig, J Horne, Fielding, Capewell, and Garita have also been elevated to senior footy from U18's. Although this was in 2005, it still was a premiership year under Hille.

As for the above names, the Mores always encourage kids to play at a higher level in their development. And the Players above have valued this encouragement and come back once their opportunities or circumstances change.

Keep your chin up. If you do the hard things rewards will flow.

What happened to J Horne in 2006?

I should just go somewhere, get a name for myself and then come back.

Why not do what Capewell, Watts, Campbell, Gowland etc did and work hard and make a name for yorself at the Mores as they did.

Heard that he was captain of the eventual U18 Premiership team in 05, but was replaced mid season. Don't know the internal politics, but
speculating that he wanted a change of scenary in 06. He is a good kid and will eventually come back.

just shows most people on this site know sweet fk all!

J.Horne played for sunshine and won there B&F easily.

He just signed a contract @ Baccas Marsh for $300 a game. i was going to go with him but decided against it due to travel.

A Horne is his brother who was captain of cannons - very very good player and SHOULD get drafted. due to his lack of height once again talent could be wasted !

A. Horne is at the Cannons.

Is he a chance to get drafted, had a cracking season and Calders best on gf day, only holdback is he is pretty small.

its the only way TC! until you threaten to leave you wont get the money!

Money? Please....Name one under 18 player (yet to play a senior game/cannons excluded) who is worth anything more than basics in ANY A grade comp?

TC - Stick around mate...You're good enough.

Terry.

theres a few out there!

there has been jack pascou from oak park worth $100-$150 a game

#3 from east keilor can any1 put a name to him? its not on the EDFL website, when we played against them he played U/18s and then backed it up with a 2nd best on in the seniors.
heard he did that nearly every game.

and if i wasnt at work i would be putting some more names up! its a good point every1 makes thou!

but im a bloke who likes to see juniors rewarded for hard work, and not seeing the imports getting all the money!

Interesting...any of these guys ever played a senior game before "thinking" they're worth anything more than standard match payments?

My point is mate - No under 18/first year senior should even be thinking about playing for cash until they can prove they are a decent 1's footballer...

Under 18 form is nothing compared to A Grade.

tony cambell.
jack pascu finished fourth in the oak park best and fairest and is on the cash that you said he is. Even though he is first year seniors he is just as valuable as any other player in the team. It was my first year out of 18's also and i moved from b grade to a grade hoping for a chance. I played consistent trained my ass off then got a gig, played nearly all year in ones. My point is if you think you can play why not stick around and play with some great players and work your butt off for a spot the coaches will notice. Better than going down to b grade and just going through the motions every saturday.

DND, You must be very close to him to know intimate details about confidential contractual payments between him and the Bacchus Marsh FC hierarchy. How come Sunshine didn't hold onto him ?

Why go through the motions in A grade EDFL every Saturday?
Why not try and get a gig in A Grade Eastern or head down to Coburg and get a run in their 1's?
Its exactly the same.

Starboy you seem to be a very angry young lad, or maybe just a dip shi t with nothing better to do than type shi t on the computer. Please fill us in on your claims or even better just f... off.:p
l havnt been on line very often lately but its sad to see absurd statements like yours still make the pages. Your a tool and thats all there is to it. :D
Tell me who you play for and l will make sure l play that game as well. :D

a grade is different football to b grade and im not saying dont go to eastern. all of my mates who are 18-19 years old trying to get a coburg 1's game are sitting half the game on the pine in the ressies like most young blokes do. If your good enough you'd be in theyre ones.
