Have it on very good authority that the EDFL will start 2 weeks late. By my reckoning that would mean playing through the mid year break and going one week longer at the end, which would just align with the DVFL and EFL anyway. Sounds like a good result to me if that's what happens.

You wouldn't want to play the green shorts may take away from the flattering vertical strips
Mite just have to play away games.... Will need to update my Melways anyway..where the fuc is Roxborough Park and Jacana????

I remember reading an eariler post and there was talk that Rory Hilton was signed, sealed and delievered at APW for 2007.
I haven't heard anything since....anyone have any news on this?

I have also heard that Rory might be playing at Old Camberwell in C Section of the VAFA. I dont think it is confirmed though.

Bomber whilst that would be good, one has to be a realist. As reported in the papers there may be a delay if the rains don't come. That's a contingency plan that is there to fall back on as a worst-case scenario. Those in the know at the EDFL have indicated that should we commence later than anticipated, say for example start at Week 4, then we will still start off at Round 1, but the last three matches at the end of the fixture would be dropped. That means no playing through the QB weekend or going a week over past the last week. I have that on good authority too.

Personally, I am being optimistic and believe we will get the rains that are predicted in Feb/March. Unfortunately too many people are speculating about what may occur to the fixture and they are far from in the know.
Let's just wait and see, shall we?

Crap!
If we miss the first 3 weeks and start on May 5th we will play as fixtured and the season will commence at round 4.

Have it on bigger authority that the EDFL may be just late on its menstral cycle (thats its period for all you strugglers), so...why don't we just be brave...and pull that giant tampon...or napkin...whichever prefered...off the oval and play on!! Gee..worse scenario...where gonna see alittle blood...ring a bell..whatever happened to Gallantry in Sport...then again, judging by some of the participants on Big Footy....we could start a little late and take it from behind....you decide!!

Off to Bunnings tommorow Mr Freba....massive purchase of timber to start on my Ark....might take 2 players from each club...sorry Marbo....only 2 I said from each club!!

Good news WC getting Flavel back.

Any other news though - they seem to be the only A Grade team not mentioned very much on here.

Have they recruited anyone of note and have they lost players.

Is EDFL Man no longer on Big Footy because it's hard to talk up his sides chances.

Maybe that's why he retired from BF because he knew they'd be in trouble.

Would like some feedback from any of the WC boys or supporters out there.

How's the new coach, recruits, when training starts etc. etc.

Well Mr Matthew Pillios, no need to use one of our many user names just use your own chump.

I have a had spell from BF but l do still read your dribble and b ullsh it that you still spin from day to day!

WC are looking ok for season 07 in A grade.
I would be worrying about your own backyard and how the might marby park wont sh it themselfs again. I suggested until season end, dont comment.

I'm not Pillios!!

You've retired from BF - sure you have!!! - you would be looking at it everyday without doubt.

I suggest you never take up your afterlife as a FISH - you would be caught within a second.

West Coburg are going ok - that's good to hear i seriously mean that because the league needs an even A Grade comp.

Question is - will you play. My mail is you won't but now that Flavel has returned and you look to have signed a few more you could well pull on the boots given the fact you may stay up.

You need to hang onto as many as you can from last year's team - how's the new coach?

Abers Update for season 2007

Losses

Loaf, Faraj, Fletcher, Papps

--------------------------------------------------

Gains

Saliba (5 star), Dennis (5 star), Keg (5 star), Runna (5 star), Carti (5 star), Leaf (unknown at present), Delidio (5 star),

Shep should play - will be a different player next year - in all seriousness probably the recruit of the year. Dominated some games last year but wasn't noticed as much. (5 star)

Plenty more in the pipeline - believe you me.

Obviously some of the gains are nicknames - you shouls be able to work it out.

We're dissapointed we missed on Pilling would of been a massive inclusion, massive - Marbi should be lickin their hairy beanbags.

Out scouts!!!!!!

Ok...here we go, welcome to Australia's most brainest Regional League President, my name is Sandra Sully (and yes I am good for 42, and my chocalate starfish is just a little tangy...)
Now, first question....
If you thought Wayne Carey may be a chance to play for your local club this year would you...
A. Announce it it the Herald Sun Sports Column?
B. Deny it but acknowledge that if he did have a interest in the club in any capacity that would be exciting?
C. Take the other 5 bullits out of the gun before I shoot someone else's foot..
C.Make him Captain and also announce that your running for Prime Minister of Australia..

Just list your answers on this site re: Dear Sandra....

Winners will be notified, first prize being my undies with a decent skid.

Good Luck...your time starts.....now.

Dear Sandra,
It sounds like you have more balls than the last and new president of Doutta Stars football club.I'm sure they would like to have you down their as their number 1 member.(any chance). If so i will become a member myself and try to get in your pants.P.S I will buy the drinks babe and dont worry it wont make the papers or will it?

I did read that article in yesterdays paper whilst sipping on a glass of red with a viscount in hand and thought to myself the boys at douttas probably should have played there cards a little closer to there chest with the Wayne Carey thing well atleast untill he ran out on the ground if indeed he does.I wonder if this publicity will hinder there chances of getting him to play,oh well time will tell i guess. So boys from the stars NOT HAPPY JAN!!! with the new pres :(

Cheers THE DREBSTER(supporting a very harsh hangover courtesy of the Cubby House of which they should re name CHUBBY House :) but hey the big ones need loving aswell and im the man to give it to them)

Looks like its gonna be a terribly long season for Haddy again.
There was speak that they where in the market o pick up 7 or 8 good footballers before christmas but with injury and the fact that they offered some handy ex players 30 bucks a win, plus the fact that new recruits back peddled once they worked out what the club is all about...

Haddy have also indicated that they are taking back a certain player that walked out halfway through a game a two years ago after getting dragged, who then turned up to the game the following week, assulted a committee member then walked onto the ground and proceeded to chase the footy........
Through this they have lost a couple of club legends and a lot of respect.......
But what do you expect from that club!!!

Go Mores!!!

just wondering if anyone out there knows the outcome of last nights EDFL commitee meeting in regards to the postponement of the EDFL season or what will be happening in '07??

Tell you what they'd do a lot worse than Drebs going around again...he'd slot into their top 5!!!
His partner in crime is disenchanted with the club and its fair to say that P Whittle will not be seen down there for a fair while....
