If you can produce a post of me claiming that recruiting players and paying them well was a bad thing well goodluck to you. I will say that there is far more to success as a club than just recruiting good players. Jury is still out as to whether SM will maintain there success, so far so good with 2 flags already. It's 5 yrs and beyond before the judgement will be made on the acheivements of SM. When the reunion is held and u see who turns up.

How can you say that 5 years and beyond is the judgement ?? What team in any football league stays at the top for 5 years ? Strathmore are enjoying the success of some good recruits along with some outstanding champions that have been there since the start but to say it will last 5 years is a bit rich. And to say that their recruits arent as good as other clubs try Doering, a gun at VFL, will dominate this year and why do they need new recruits when they smashed everyone last year ??

Sorry to spoil your fun but no truth whatsoever in Harvey and Quinn leaving, haven't missed a beat so far in the pre season. Chopper has confirmed that if he's given the o.k to only commit to half a season down the Princes Fwy (which in my opinion would be very strange), he will play there, otherwise he's s.s&d at the mores. Juliand (that is definately a girls name) i will stand corrected if you prove to be right on this one.

Isn't it funny that everyone has bagged Strathmore over the past 2 years for recruiting big name players from outside the league and the area, yet now look what every other club is doing to try bridge the 12 goal gap between them and the rest of the comp. You might argue that DS beat them during the year so they are capable of doing it again, but when it came to the crunch they may as well have sent the u/12's out, they would have put up a better show.

Heard a juicy little rumour about Aaron Thomas..told to leave the club due to a little breaking and entering of a fellow teammates house...apparently he knew where the goodys where kept!!! Dont think he's allowed to show his face at the lebanon ever again!! Good old strathmore boys hey
