went down and had a look at sydenham hillside vs parkside at parkside yesterday .very good standard game believe it or not the sharks have improved a hell of alot since i last seen them play last year they ended up losing by 9 points which i think was quite good effort considering they are a a grade club parkside.dnt know any names for best players or goals .sorry

Epping look alright against Doutta stars last week,just show you how far the stars will behind greenvale this year.Doutta play spotwood and were 4 goals down going into the last term and got up by 2 goals.Douttas have a long way to go yet.

Douttas won by 4 goals yesterday to spotswood in a very good hit out for both sides, both clubs had a couple out. Douttas forward line looks unstoppable when tankard is back, as long as the ball is delived well from the midfield. You will need to kick a big score to beat them.

Can anyone shed some light on what is happening with the Taylors Lakes boys? Many were caught licking each other at the Anglers on Saturday night. Alot a mixed up the boys at TL - they should keep this type of display in the closet.
If that is true good on the coach for setting an example from the start.
If the coach stands by it, then we won't see much of J SAAD this year then.....

Didn't go to the game but from all reports Balwyn easily accounted for Strathmore. It was a six quarter game with Balwyn missing Harford and a couple of others and Strathmore missing Doering, Barnards, and others. Apparently Balwyn were much bigger and stronger. They expect to give Eastern League a big shake first up. Strathmore fielded a mixture of Senior, Reserve and U18 players in their 30.

i watched the first 2 quarters and phantom has got it pretty right. McGuane said before the game that they had 8 "definite starters" out of the team, and 5 "maybes". It was even at the end of the first quarter, then balwyn kicked 7 to nothing in the 2nd. Strathmore had about 5-6 missing from their best side. They looked a little rusty, but i'd say other than Thomas most of the losses will be covered. Ciantar back from o/s was good, and Dalley was brilliant when in the ruck while Quinn was resting. Balwyn's average height was about 6-6, they were massive and look like they will have one of the best sides going around.

Thanks for the support sammy, but the above whilst funny, is a little of the mark. Port will feild 25-30 blokes ranging from second year 18's to half of their senior side. Expect no fire works and a competitive workout at best.
