JD or Jason Dennis as he is known is still in WA I believe. The numbers worn during the practice match were not the official ones. The allocation list is now on the club website. Player No.19 is named Mark Worthington. He played last year but did not appear in Saturday's practice match against Yarraville Seddon.
Final Score? Abers 23.12 def. Y/Seddon 6.8
Is Ernie Bajiric still the number one ruckmen there???

Does this mean that round 1 Abers V Douttas will be a good match???With the posibility of the two blues upsetting the starsor am i over estimating them?Is Ernie Bajiric still the number one ruckmen there???
Epping look alright against Doutta stars last week, just show you how far the stars will behind greenvale this year.Doutta play spotwood and were 4 goals down going into the last term and got up by 2 goals.Douttas have a long way to go yet.
i watched the first 2 quarters and phantom has got it pretty right. McGuane said before the game that they had 8 "definite starters" out of the team, and 5 "maybes". It was even at the end of the first quarter, then balwyn kicked 7 to nothing in the 2nd. Strathmore had about 5-6 missing from their best side. They looked a little rusty, but i'd say other than Thomas most of the losses will be covered. Ciantar back from o/s was good, and Dalley was brilliant when in the ruck while Quinn was resting. Balwyn's average height was about 6-6, they were massive and look like they will have one of the best sides going around.
Any praccys on this weekend. Should be round 1 but what do i know.
Had a look at Keilor v Port Colts on Thursday nights with Keilor winning the senior game (3 quarters) by about 3 or 4 goals...
Keilor had about 80% of the ball and their midfield was dominant with Lance Picione, Buttigig, Knezevic all getting plenty of the ball...... Porter & James up forward looked potent also......
With their recruits and form such this against quality oposition this does anyone rate Keilor above 3rd or 4th ???? Stathmore aside (10 goals superior on 06) Are Douttas & Greenvale going to be that much better than Keilor ??![]()
Added to that if the top 4 sides are going to be this good it is going to make for a long season for the bottom 6 sides ???![]()
Quinn was terrible & strathmore got killed, rumor is Quinn seeking to get out of his contract extremely disapppointed with the losses from the club and signed on the proviso these blokes were staying, losing the a train tipped him over the edge, big storms looming at strathmore

Rumors are what keeps bigfooty going!Absolute garbage. Stick to the Southern League forum.
Rumors are what keeps bigfooty going!
I report on a lot of leagues, on the subject of Quinn a rumor sweeping the footy circles,he seems to have been a victim of a viscious assault at a inner city night club over the weekend receiving cuts and grazes to his head whilst getting a taxi, a cowardly attack from behind was supposedly by a member of a rival edfl club. Anyone heard this one?
This incident will further his reluctance to play this year .

Brillian work Fella,
Keep it up,
Your right, this forum needs rumours and hear say. Better than the standard, who is going to beet SM, do you think DS can match SM and GV, will Keilor be there abouts, is Abbers upto it , etc etc etc.
same old boring bull S H I T
Abber, Djack, Bricksta and the other club sycophants should open there eyes and consider the possibility that their clubs have an expiriy date on their power, the boom recruits will leave at some stage, and it WILL have an impact on their short term performance,
all this Quinn talk could be the start of it ???
Who knows, but it has certainly given me something to think about![]()
Quote:Keep fishing Jets06, you might have some news about Strathmore that is even close to something believable one day!

Thanks for your kind advice Eagle. Don't think I have ever been of the opinion that clubs stay at the top forever. All clubs go through cycles of ups and downs and no doubts the Mores will also. Players come and go, thats footy, so if you hang around for long enough you may be right.
Glad to hear it chump,
question is, has the cycle started for SM
Naturally you will say no, but what about a balanced opinion, perhaps cutter is right ??
Will the possible exit of Quinn kick start the wheels of change ???
Didn't look like he was leaving doing 10x200's last night. T
Its not about being fixated with the team mate its the club in general. If they take off of course im still gonna support them thats what happens at quality clubs mate. And dont call me chump thats a shocker
Chump, Pal, either way, I agree it is a dog of a thing to call someone![]()
