I wouldnt think that Abers would get anywhere ner Douttas and it wouldnt surprise me if the stars won by 10 or 12 goals.And anymore news on Mr W.Carey???Havnt heard much in a while,can anyone shed some light???

If Harmer is your great hope i think you Abers boys are in a lot of strife, overated and an absolute gn, i thought that number 17 was probably there stand out!!
Wouldnt worry about those guys you mentioned , i would be more worried about sam tankard..trained with him over the weekend and he's in great form, i rate him just behind cameron trewin from avondale as one of the premier players in the comp!!

And regarding this weeks games i know they all seem pretty lop sided but is there a chance that the two blues could upset the stars???Ive heard Douttas have picked up a few but lost more and dont know to much about Abers.[/quote] Everyone has written about the top 4 teams (Mores, Greenvale, Keilor, Doutta) but not much about the remainder......well I see that Abers have picked a couple of very good players from Myrtleford. (Cartwright & Murray) also a couple of blonks from the Ammos' + Runnals and McKee + Wilson ex Epping and more. I know Cartwright is very handy and Doutta will have to keep on eye on him. ......Also I believe Keilor Park will not be push-overs this year. Have also recruited well in the past couple of weeks, with a number of boys coming down from NT in the next couple of days. Not sure if they will saddle up this weekend, one in particular Brad Stephensen (ruckman) and Brad Norhausen (kicked 117 goals last season in SA, minor league and played a handful of games in SANFL also was leading goalkicker in NTFL for a number of years. opposition clubs will have to keep on eye on the devils.
Still can't work out how Rioli will handle Saturday duties at the Devils when the rumor is he is also the assistant coach at the Northern Bullants. ?? Still can't believe one of their own in Leigh Coles has left and gone to Riddell, what happended there ?......Not much has been said re Avondale, do know a previous captain has gone to greener pastures in the Ammo's......Oak Park have done very little in the way of recruiting big names, I don't think the bloke they got from Airport West will be their saviour, more than likely struggle to win a game. Crazyburn will hopefully build on a average season last year, have also been quite on the recruiting as is West Coburg.

Oak Park will surprise a few this year. We have approx 20-25 new players to the club and will not be the push-over everyone thinks. Played Avondale at pretty much full strength on Sat and lost by 6 points with players to come in...

Mick Kassab back at oakers is he U/18's or Seniors.
Last time I checked, having 20-25 new players to the club WASN"T a good thing. Hope OP can be competitive and avoid relegation for the sake of the comp. But there's a reason that so many new guys are there and that's cos' the nucleus of the club left.
