Can't help you with a list but the point I was making is that GV can barely fit some of there gun recruits in the side let alone giving juniors a go just for experience. I'm sure they're not alone..... If they earn a spot abpve a recruit they should play, but not just because it's good for the club. The clubs have a responsibility to produce juniors that are of a standard high enough to secure their spot on merit.

Hang on Rohan, Lenne, Karabadjak, Chris Burns, Daniel Burns, Dean Disipio, Hakim, Dean Smith all played against Straty. All those guys are young and earnt their spot

You could add Watts to that Strathmore list when he plays again, a first team regular.

Cooper from Keilor started playing for them in Under 16s, from Avondale

Suarez from Abers moved from Keilor Park last year.

Dean D'Orazio from Douttas moved from Westmeadows in his last year of Under 16s.

Ned Pearson from Douttas moved from West Coburg in his last year of Under 16s.

So theres a few that have stayed within the EDFL but moved in the Juniors too!

Absolutely. The original post was in regards to U18's getting a chance whilst they are still playing U18s. All I am saying is that given the changing nature of local footy there may not be the opportunity to play these guys 'just for a run' as often. In GV's case especially given the names I mentioned coming in via the reserves it would be hard to tell them they're missing so an U18 can have a go. As I say if an U18 earns their spot ahead of the big names good on them.....

Point taken. It is harder now but good in some ways as spots aren't given away. Bruno and Daniel Burns are two from G'vale that have earnt their spots this year still being 18's

If history is anything to go by then KP will prob win 2-4 games from here on in and hang in for another year. Impossible to pick really but I think the bigger bodies of Abers could get them over the line.

Just left Abers after a couple of beers, do your self a favour and wander down one night for a look see...why they have'nt got a card table out in the middle with some party pies and 100/1000 sangers i'll never know...now don't be alarmed if a few are wearing pantyhose on the weekend...its gonna be a little chilly, big bodies!! I think there's some breasts under those jumpers....if we lose this week....just swap Melways with Marby Park....

Yes he is the captain. Does not get away from the fact he did not play his junior footy at Keilor.

Just for the record, 15 of the 21 named for the Avondale game are Keilor Juniors.

Others have been including former junior players that have played during the season, add another three to the current 15, makes 18 for the year.

Seriously how long do you have to play at a club before your considered from there. Not a Keilor fan but hard to argue that Fraser is not Keilor through and through. Sign of a good club is to hold onto players who could have got plenty of coin elsewhere over the years. Let's wait to see how many Strathmore & Greenvale players hang around as long as Fraser has at Keilor.

Went past the Wooden spoon game on sat and if you ever wanted to see a display from an onballer go and watch number 1 for abers i think his name is M.Egan, When the game was close he kicked 6 goals in a row from ruck rover... one of the single most brilliant quarters of football i have watched just smashed keilor park

My thoughts are that Abers will go on to win another 3 for the year they are a much better side now with class players coming back from injury and should perform in the second half of the year

Beck played juniors at West Preston (DVFL / NFL) Played u/19 there, winning best in comp. Played seniors for couple of years, rumour was they wanted to fly him down from Syd, and play him on saturday. Since travelled to C'Burn and has been there since.

Cant be bothered looking through the other 777 pages that this thread has provided but just wanted to find about BEN HAKIM for GREENVALE. I have not seen a greenvale game this year but have noted that he averages 6 goals a game and has kicked a few bags so far this year.
Can anyone who has watched their games or who has played against them let me know their style of play with hakim. Do they go to him everytime as i know he is a BIG man... do they have any other main targets up forward or are they as predictable as richmond?(going to richo all the time). Any details would be good...thanx in advance
