West Coburg d Avondale by 10gls
Greenvale d Abers
Craigieburn d Doutta by 4 goals

KEILOR d Hilles Allstars by 7pts....
KEILOR d Strathmore 2nd by 15 goals
KEILOR d Strathmore U 18's by 20 goals....

Great Effort by Keilor to stand up in a finals type game (9gls to 8) and in front of the 97 reunion who were in fine form late in the game... Matt Towner in career best form absolutely dominated Doering !!!

How is that long term plan (ie post 2008) for the Mores going ??????

Greenvale & Strathmore whilst the top 2 sides in A grade at the moment couldn't be further apart in the structure and development of their clubs...
Can play this bloke, and have seen his younger brother Sean play too and he (sean) is probably better for mine...

marby park under 18s are an absolute disgrace....last game of there season and they decide to start an all in brawl when teams were shaking hands for absolutely no reason at all...surely marby cant go to A grade with this problem, i hear they try fighting every team week in week out...not on! thoughts?

Marby's reputation has blown up after this season with the under 18's. They will have major difficulty in recruiting players for this team next season even if they are in A Grade.
Every club I have spoken to has had a bad word to say about this team.

What makes the matter even worse is that a lot of clubs have lent them players throughout the season when have played them, so they can avoid forfiets and fines and make sure the young guys get a game.

Absolute disgrace:thumbsdown:

all marby want is a team on the park, they should of been suspending players after the way they carry on cause the edfl has no balls to step in either

The simple fact is they, like many clubs, focus on their seniors and forget their under age sides. They bag the bigger clubs for getting bigger and better -but do nothing about their own backyard. They are a disgrace and so is the EDFL for allowing them to continue in this manner.
How many clubs have been fined (melees) for just defending themselves??

I agree, Marby Park should be held back in B grade due to their U/18 players poor and disgraceful behaviour, hold the club accountable

We all know, the league also knows, that Marby plays over age in the U18s for ages so they don't care or are too afraid, yes too afraid, to do anything!

Think you must have had the sun in your eyes Waxman, should have come over to the creek side and had a look. Laverde played well for DS but I wouldn't have thought he copped any more attention than anyone else. Maybe the fact he actually had the ball occasionally, as opposed to most of his team mates, created the confusion.

I agree with you asessment of Joey having the ball more then most of his team mates but yeah they were trying a little harder then normal to wack him anyway no big deal just what myself and a few others thought ;)

And WTF??? Merv Atkins in the 2's this week :D look out Oak Park back line he will cause some headaches for youz and watch where you step as he'll lay one ;)

WAXY

Ahh yes the hot temper lads at Marby under 18s at it again, when will they ever learn, I agree not the kind of lads you want playing for our club. We will go to A Grade in 2008, that if it we win B Grade in 2007, not there yet, shall see after September 8.

I believe a few from the under 16 are going up to the Under 18 for next year.

Marby lower junior sides are improving with numbers, have 2 under 12 and 2 under 10 sides this year will have 2 under 14 sides next year. The EDFL have dealt with Marby this year.

Marby are in B Grade, not in A grade yet, come around September 8th around 4.45pm, Marby might be in A grade, have build a team for A grade, but have to win B grade first, we all saw what happened last year.

We all know, the league also knows, that Marby plays over age in the U18s for ages so they don't care or are too afraid, yes too afraid, to do anything!

Typical EDFL. Does nothing, tries to keep everybody happy

Week off for Marby seniors and ressies,

How everyone else club looking.

Mr Controversy In Scotland

It has been a while since i have been on here, but never the less Mr Controversy has been following the results. J. Laverdie has had a great year and i rate the man highly. He busts his guts week in week out and allot of the time he doesnt get the recignition he deserves.

Greenvale look to be the team to beat this year from the past results i have seen lately so good luck too them, hopefully C. Smith and old team mate of mine can taste some glory, cause he is a fine player.

In regards to the douttas boys keep hanging in there its been a very bad year in regards to injuries act.... but life goes on and u must get on with business as usual.

Good luck too all im going to sink some more piss.

Mr Controversy Has Spoken

How do the people on here who support Maribyrnong Park feel about the disgraceful way players from the club such as Jack Scott and Mark Bangit are made to play reserves? Glen Allison plays blokes in the senior side purely because they are on more money and doesnt want the high priced mercenaries on top dollar to play reserves, just want to know how people from the club actually feel about this.....

Thanks for the kind words General. DS are always in our thoughts at this time of year. Next week the preparation for the Mores finals attack begins while alas we'll have to go down to the bar at the Linc to see the boys from Buckleys in action.

Heard a rumour that Ang Gentile will be appointed Coach of Airport West next year and Denny back to Moonee Valley. Anyone else down at the club heard anything as well?
Gentile is highly respected and would do a mighty job.

It is a disgrace. Especially, Mark Bangit. He destroyed our club both times last year and a Marby player told me the other week that Allison is favouring blokes who are not even as good, compared to a bloke who is a gun and has been at the club most of his career.

It is an insult. Feel sorry for Jack Scot also.

I agree, however there is no place for sentiment in the quest for a premiership.

Even the great man P.Harrison is on shaky ground

Waxy,

Big changes at Cooper St.New Prez and other positions being finalised as we speak.

Looking for a semi-retired,fit,active and common sense type Turf Engineer to be the Ground Maintenance Manager in 2008.Anyone comes to mind?
